About people getting happy/sad/mad/glad for updates that nerfs/improves skills etc shouldnt be.
This just came to my mind.
Guild Wars is all about the player's skills and how he can handle them well. (Both in game skills and "Game skills").
And when they nerf everything to be balanced it's just that which stands as the requirements (Your skills).
I mean, give a newbie a Prot monk build and he wont be as good as an experienced player, eh?

Hmm. My WoW playng "m8" told me that guild wars was WAY TO balanced. And it is balanced because its a game relying more on your skills then on your equipment.

From what i infer the point is that People shouldnt complain whenever A-Net buffs, or takes a Nerf bat to certain skills because it is our skill, dexterity and experience in using those skills that determines how good we are as a player, not how good the skills are. I like the 55 example too. First time i finally had a monk get all the right skills and equipment for it i thought "Yeh now i'm gonna make a mint...." 2 Hours later and i still hadn't quite grasped that having the skills and knowing roughly what you're supposed to do does not make the player. It took a bit of time and experience before i got good at it.
Altho i must admit the OP ,whilst having a good and fair point, is rather out of context. I wasn't aware that there had been any major nerf's (or Buff's) recently that were considered hot news. Altho i suppose you could argue that this is one of those things that will always drift around due to the frequency of skill balances, perhaps.
And as for being too Balanced... well, thats WoW players for you. lol. (obviously no offence intended to any hard grinding and happy WoW'ers out there. To each their own!)
Aztec.
P.S. Apologies for overuse of the word 'skill' in the first paragraph lol.

you're right darknshy, i've been thinking that a long time too. guild wars is always a challenge, it has much variation thanks to the nerfbat of a-net. whole builds get nerfed, almost as saying to the players; Hey, we from a-net, think you have to try another build.
i've never seen a build that was popular 2 years ago, ever own someone in Alliance Battle. skills change>>builds change=challenge in making new builds.
edit; | QUOTE | | I don't get the point. |
the point is; the nerfbat makes a line between newbs/noobs and experienced players. experienced players can handle the nerfbat, newbs/noobs can't. it tests the player's 'skills'
