My graphics card works fine and all but...
On friday the graphics card said there was a new update so i went to the webpage put the info in. My OS is Windows Xp and its Radoen 1650. So i put all the info in and it directed me to Catalystic 8.1 so i downloaded and installed, rebooted Comp and stuff. Bt when i go to play a game such as guildwars it crashes and says 3d is not initiating and i dont have Direct 8 or higher or that i need to update my graphics card.
I got this http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst...p=xp/radeonx-xp
And btw everything worked fine before i downloaded and installed that.
Please help should i somehow uninstall the new driver and install and older one. If so please help and tell me how.

I would say reinstall the old one and you should be able to find it on the website of the maker of your card.

Thanks, i tried looking for it but cant find it can someone please help?

Kk ive figured out the problem, 8.1 does not work with my graphics card as shown by HERE
It says to unstall 8.1 and install 7.3 ive found 7.3 driver HERE
But now i need help on how to uninstall the 8.1 driver and installing the 7.3 driver. Properly without damaging the pc

I have a Mobility radeon x1600 and im pretty sure my drivers are from Febuary 2006... i was wondering how to locate an up to date driver for this particular card...

Thhis should actually be relatively easy :-)
Oh wait, NOT damaging your pc. Ehmmm.
Try the following procedure:
Run the install executable for the 8.1 version again. It should ask you for some choices, like re-install, modify and remove. The last one is the ne you want of course.
Uninstall, reboot, make sure your pc is Ati-driver free (windows XP will provide default non-accelerated video drivers)
If things look ugly as hell and/or bloated up, you're doing ok.
Now install the 7.3 driver.
Whatever you do, do NOT uninstall one driver and immediately reinstall the other one without atleast one reboot in between!!! Thos (un)installation give tons of next-boot commands which actually can screw up your pc big-time.
