GW was un-installed, and I re-installed it and now I gotta download all the files. Is there any quicker way to download all the 100,000 files I need to start playing again? or do I need to just wait out the whole -image thing???

Just wait really, no other way, unless you know someone that has the complete GW.dat file, but then again, unless you backed that up somewhere, or someone like a friend can give it, i think downloading is faster.
Sending GW.Dat over MSN.... don't even think about it.

I know it might not be of any help to you, but i heard something about.. preloading gw.dat(soemthing like that) so it downloads some of the content faster?

If you have a family member(s) that play GW with you they can send it over from AIM or MSN and it will be sent at 1000mb/sec lol.

Why not just put it in a shared folder if a family member is on the same network, 2000MB/sec
Still though, unless your on Gigabit LAN, i doubt 1000mb/sec is realized truly.
Try it, GW's in total should take 4.5 seconds then.
Anyways, back to the point, -image is the best to use.

would take you longer to set everything up than just wait for the updating.....do what I do, go make a sandwich

What I did when I had to reinstall GW:
1. Right click on the .DAT file;
2. Click "Add to .rar. library;
3. Wait 5 mins;
4. Reinstall GW;
5. Un-RAR the file and put .DAT back.
6. Play your life away.
Guess it's too late now, but for the future. You could also ask if someone puts his .RAR on mega-upload or something. Or leave MSN on all night and you got it when you wake up in the morning ^^

Make a shortcut to your GW file
"C:/Program Files/Guild Wars/Gw.exe" -image
Let that run a few hours, and you'll have everything.

Only if Megaupload works fast enough, and sending over MSN is useless, its easier to use -image then.
