| Alot of problems getting CoV started again. |

Hello im pretty new to these forums but the official forums from the website isent working at all for me.
Im getting soo many problems im about to give up but i really wanna play this game again.
I played this game without any problems at all 2 years ago with a diffrent and shity comp.
okay il start listing up what iv had so far and what i have now =)
WHat iv had:
1. said i dident have enough disk place even tho i had 150gig left on the disk. i deleted a jpg picture on like 10kb and then it worked.
2. I got the bug where the client turns it self into a US client.
3. It kept telling me it needed to reinstall it self.
all these bugs i sorted out with the help of these forums =D thx ALOT btw great help everyone.
Okay for what my problem actually is now:
1. If i click on any of the old chars i have the game stops for a min and the sound bugs like when a game crashs and such.
2. when i try to make a new char it crashes when i change the head setting for like a hood or something else.
3. if i log in the first char i have on the list the game crashs when i click on connect or whatever the buttom down it the right is.
Please help me guys i just paid for 3 months and 35 dollars is sorta wasted if i cant even play the game.
Anyone got some info on how to fix my 3 problems i would love it (happly take links to other selutions)

Windows XP SP2.
GF 8800 gt.
4400 amd dual core 64 X2
2gig ram

i spoke too soon.
was trying to make a nw char and got *wglMakeCurrent failed for 15.000000 seconds* when i clicked next

Gosh! You really have a lot of problems with CoV.
To be honest, if I'd had that much issues with it, I'd wipe it and try a complete re-install, but you're probably better of waiting for tech-support before doing any such thing. They are the professional assistance and those issues are far out of my own experiences with CoX, or 64bit OSes.
Just thought I'd bump in to show we care, even though we/I can't help with any tech details at the moment. :-)

Hehe thx alot hun.
Iv reinstalled like 4 times now but doesent seem to help much =/
All these problems are probably coz of my video card.
I was able to reset all settings back to minimal and the game runs pretty good then.
If i try to change any video setting it crashs in the loading tho.
Anyone know why this game is such a pain with GF 8800 GT ?
Works fine on my 7900 card but hehe i just bought it so going back a hole series... well itl make me cry ='(

Well, I know and I don't know :-)
The 8800 series is nice hardware, but the driver software stinks. Sounds like ATI eh?
Nvidia pulled an ATI-like driver screw up on the 8800 series during the first half of 2007. It took them untill the second half of last year to get decent drivers for the bloody things. That's XP and Vista 32 bits. Dunno about drivers for 64 bits. Might be those are still crap? Still, how up-to-date are yours?
The 7900 and 7950 series are real workhorses imo. They don't get you quite the same amount of FPS as the 8800 can get, but it's my experience that the 79xx series doesn't drop the FPS rate quite as dramatically either. Then again, I just might be convincing myself I don't need to upgrade just yet :-D

Think youve miss understood me alittle =)
My mother bored or whatever is a 4400+ 64 2x dual core
my OS is Win xp 32 =)
But you wouldent suprise me if it is my drivers.
When i was installing i was asked to put in a SP 2 CD and again when i was trying to install the new drivers..
Cant be bothered getting a real OS before Vista version.
You got a link for the best gf 8800 gt drivers ?

Ok, so you're running a 32 bit OS on 64 CPU. Check!
Ahm, you do have Service Pack 2 installed don't you?
I mean, SP2 The Service fixes-tons-of-Dx9-issues Pack 2 :-)
And Vista isn't exactly better, for games, than XP (sp2) is, until hardware will have caught on in a year or two and there's actually DX10 games that make it worth it.

Yepp thats why im not buying the vista for a while yet.
Humm got a mail from Plaync now.
Seems they wanna close my request for help and that i should wait for them to contact me.
Guess il wait longer then..
I can sorta play the game in Safemode for now even tho the grafics are like a shity play station(1) game.
Hehe uff fixed 4 problems my self so theres only 3 to go.
Il post a walkthrough on this when its all fixed if you want me to hun.
If we actually find out what the problem is that is.
