Really depends...you need to do both of the 15 attribute quests? What campaign did your char start in?

First of all,
Welcome to Gameamp!

Second,
what campaign did you start that character in?
We cannot provide you the correct information without that ;)

Attribute point
From Guild Wars Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search
Warning: Key elements of this terminology-related article are incomplete. You can help the Guild Wars Wiki by expanding it.

Attribute points are used to improve attributes in either your primary or secondary profession. Increasing your point value in an attribute will in turn automatically increase the effectiveness of skills related to those attributes. You gain attribute points as you level up. The maximum is a total of 200 after reaching level 20 and completing both of the quests that reward with 15 attribute points each.

[edit] Attribute point level progression

Attribute points increase each time you go up a level in PvE. The amount of increase is based upon which level you have increased to. The breakdown is as follows:
Character Level Additional Attribute Points Total Attribute Points
1 0 0
2 5 5
3 5 10
4 5 15
5 5 20
6 5 25
7 5 30
8 5 35
9 5 40
10 5 45
11 10 55
12 10 65
13 10 75
14 10 85
15 10 95
16 15 110
17 15 125
18 15 140
19 15 155
20 15 170
[edit] Attribute point quests

Each campaign has a way of gaining "bonus" attribute points once per character, in addition to the points from the regular level progression up to level 20. There are two of these quests per campaign for a total of +30 attribute points. These points are included in the 200 point total given above. Attribute point quest rewards are always limited to the character native to the campaign only, so although foreign characters may help out a native character finishing the quest, no reward will be given to the foreign player in this case.

These are the attribute point quests in the respective campaigns:

* Prophecies: Forgotten Wisdom (Skyward Reach), The Hero's Challenge (Droknar's Forge)
* Factions: Lost Treasure (Ran Musu Gardens), An Unwelcome Guest (Seitung Harbor)
* Nightfall: Rising in the Ranks: First Spear, Rising in the Ranks: Sunspear Master Sergeant (both in Sunspear Great Hall)

[edit] Spending attribute points

The following table shows how many points you must spend on an attribute to raise it to a specific level. Attribute level 12 is the highest level obtainable by spending points. You can exceed this only with +attribute items.

* Attribute level: The level of the attribute.
* Attribute point cost: The cost in attribute points to raise the attribute by one level from the previous level.
* Total attribute points spent: The total cost of attribute points used to reach this attribute level.

Attribute level Attribute point Total attribute points spent
1 1 1
2 2 3
3 3 6
4 4 10
5 5 15
6 6 21
7 7 28
8 9 37
9 11 48
10 13 61
11 16 77
12 20 97

With the above information, we can see that certain maximum attribute point allocations are possible:
Attribute level Attribute point cost for this level Total attributes possible at this level Points remaining
12 97 2 200 - (97 x 2) = 6
11 77 2 200 - (77 x 2) = 461
10 61 3 200 - (61 x 3) = 17
9 48 4 200 - (48 x 4) = 8
8 37 5 200 - (38 x 5) = 10
7 28 72 200 - (28 x 7) = 4
6 21 93 200 - (21 x 9) = 11

* 1 46 remaining points allows for a third attribute at level 8.
* 2 Any profession combo without a Warrior or Elementalist will have 7 attributes.
* 3 The maximum amount of attributes possible is 9 with a Warrior/Elementalist or Elementalist/Warrior combo.

[edit] Attribute point re-assigning

The attribute points can be re-assigned freely with no charge. To do so, you need to be in town and open up your skill window. Click on the down arrow on varies attributes to drop them down and redistribute it to another attribute.

Wrong! Only get 170 points by reaching Level 20. You have to two 2 quests two get the other 30 points. But you need to tell us which campaign your character is from so we can help you. :)

Prophecies

Factions
You can get your first 15 point quest right after you complete "Minister Cho's Estate" mission. You will find the NPC with teh quest in "Ran Musu Gardens". Get the quest "Lost Treasure" from the NPC "Raitahn Nem ".

As for the second 15 Attribute Point quest can be gotten after the completion of 'Seitung Harbor" mission. The quest is "An Unwelcome Guest" obtained from "Zunraa" in "Seitung Harbor".

Nightfall
Nightfalls point quests are pretty straight forward. The first is "Rising in the Ranks: First Spear" obtained from "Runduk" in "Sunspear Great Hall". The second is called "Rising in the Ranks: Master Sergeant", it can be gotten from the same place as the previous. :)

I hope this helps. :)

I totally agree.
Don't throw them a wiki page, help a dude out. Type some stuff. Take 3 minutes out of your schedule. Not that hard.

RE: How too get 200 attribute points?

sorta off topic, but did you guys like doing it the prophecies way where you had to work on your character for a while to get the attribute points, or did you like it in factions and nightfall where they just handed you them? to me it felt like there wasn't even a purpose for having attribute point quests if they were so easy and so early. In Prophecies I thought that it made the character development much more fulfilling, but if you just wanted to make a fast secondary character than factions or nightfall was the way to go.

I personally liked the Prophecies way of doing it. You just get them too fast in Factions and Nightfall.

RE: How too get 200 attribute points?

(since the question is answerd, I'll just go off-topic too)

Yeah, Prophecies has always been the best campaign imo. All my characters (except assassin, rit and dervish) are from prophecies and it gives you such a better feeling to reach lvl 20 there. Because you really had to put effort into it.

The only thing they should've changed is that you can just run to other places, without doing the primairy quest. I think I still have 3 prim quests open even though I finished prophecies already. Also found out the prim quest to Frontier Gates after I finished the whole campaign!

~Blazings

EDIT: P.S. Isn't sending him a wiki page sort of helping? Because they did put time in it to find the page and it's all explained there. Why would they ctrl+c ctrl+v it into this topic? All the links are than also broken.
OK, there could've been a little more text than just the wiki page, but there is no need to go and copy it all imo.

Why isn't there some sort of "Rule" for this then?
In the beginning, as i've *lurked* here longer, you had alot more help and alot less wiki, people just do it the easy way these days.

I still remember a topic someone made which has all these ''helpfull'' links, in other words, links so you never need to visit GameAmp anymore besides sharing some off-topic stuff that sharing with your buddies just didn't feel good enough, no offense meant, but that's where GameAmp has been heading for a long time ago.
Instead of rating:

Lolol, first post bad, someone jumping the gun and going *CTRL+V* with wiki in a reply, should also be rated as not-post worthy.
Simply put, it would actually get people to help, Some people might try CTRL+C = CTRL+V from the wiki topic itself then, but i do hope some minor changes are made.

In the end most people will copy from Wiki, but its alot nicer and a more friendly gesture aswell.

RE: How too get 200 attribute points?

I think what Kanna is aiming at is why point towards another site, when AMP also has the answer? And I\'m not saying that because Kanna linked to my Guide (Allthough I did enjoy looking over my Ranger\'s various outfits. Thansk!).
I wrote that Guide at the time to tackle a weekly (sometimes daily) recurring question in an ordered, comprehensive manner. Sometimes people would get fed up with asnwering that same old question and got terse in their replies. Linking to the Guide gave them a means to help out and not waste time / effort on it, much like pointing to a wiki does, but...

while Wiki is great for the data/statistical end of things like factlets, it fails miserably at things like insight, strategy, connections and above all Personality. This is inherent to the wiki model which focusses in encyclopedian manner on facts, not ideas. Also, not everyone finds the unstructured concept of a wiki pleasant to work with. Forum posters in general like the interaction of question and answer, with opinions, ideas and points of view thrown into the mix of raw data and facts.

So, Wiki tends to be a bit more up to date than AMP these days, Kanna should be cracking that whip a bit about that I think, but...

AMP is our community, saying \"Welcome, go visit wiki\"leaves something to be desired as a welcoming post if you ask me :-)
If we can\'t point someone to a comprehensive resource on our own site, maybe it\'s time to write one. (Or search for one, AMP does have a search too you know) If you\'re Wiki savvy and notice you\'re pointing towards a few pages over and over again, go write a Guide that combines the data therein in a comprehensive, fun to read manner and point to that in future in stead of telling people to \'go away\' to another site.

Just my rambling thoughts.

My only problem with the prophecies was that I felt it was just so far into the story line. However, the quests were just right for the rewards. Factions had kinda ok quests, but could have been better and a bit further along. I agree with you that Nightfall was way too easy to do. Personally, I would perfer something between Factions and Prophecies. and about as difficult as Prophecies to accomplish.
