I'm tryin to test out a toon for pvp, he's a duel blade/willpower. So far he's pretty decent, only got him to lvl 10. I would like the best pvp build possible, so please if you guys can offer up any options they would be welcome. I am going to make a new toon and try out DB/Ren to see which i like more. So what do you guys think is the best primary and secondary power set based solely on the idea of PvP?

You want the best build for scrapper PvP? Spines/Regen. Good burst damage, Ranged attacks, and part of its damage is highly unresisted. Win/Win/Win.
You want a DB scrapper for PvP? Regen. Only SR in Elude can truly match Regen's survivability, and Regen gets good earlier. I hate to tell ya this, but DB will have a hard time in PvP. It doesn't have a true Build Up power, so it won't have the accuracy advantages that other scrappers get. It has no ranged attacks, so a skilled jouster will almost never take damage. Its secondary effect is dependent on hitting a foe multiple times, which is very unlikely to happen, unless your foe decides to just toe-to-toe fight with you, which would be a mistake, not one that'll be made often, either.
Now, I'm not saying you can't succeed with Dual Blades. It's just gonna be a lot more difficult and take a lot of practice, at least against more hardcore PvPers. That said, I wish you luck on your PvP scrapping ways. =D

thanks for your response WP. Yes i'm fairly new to CoH and I picked DB mainly just b/c 1. its the newest powerset and 2. it seemed "cool". But now that i've gotten the cool factor out of my system I am ready to start a strong pvp viable toon, so i appreciate your advice.
SOoooo what exactly makes spines so superior to other powersets, like katana, or broad sword, or dark melee (which i have read is the most powerful for burst dmg)?

Also isnt spines better for pve b/c of all of its AoE attacks? I guess this is probably a discussion for another topic.
Regen wins my vote over WP for PVP

Spines is cool because of the secondary DoT toxic effect. And also of the burst damage from both Impale, and Ripper. Impale can also bring down flying targets. Spines also has another AoE from throw spines and the PBAoE quills can act as a mini stalker detector, if so desired. Now Broad Sword also works, because it too has really high burst damage. I don't think it has a ranged attack, can't be sure though, i'd have to take another look. So either BS/Regen or Spines/Regen is whatcha wanna go for hardcore PvP. (Katana works in Arena, i think).
