Login Problems 

I have the latest version of Exteel and everything, so I don't think it's that. However, every time I play the game, it shuts down after I log in and takes me back to the desktop. Any advice on what I should do?

Are you getting any kind of error?
At what point do you crash to desktop?

If your videocard is really out of date for instance, the game may not fully start up for instance.

Some information on your PC would help with troubleshooting.

1) I am not getting an error message
2) The game crashes after I enter my login information and press the login button.

My graphics card is a NVIDIA go 6150

Hmmm. No error message :-(

Ok, are you using PlayNC's launcher? If not, try using it.
If so, on the left where the NCsoft games are mentioned, right click on the eXteel tab and click on the option "Repair (consistency check)".

That's a generic "fix stuff" issue.
If that does not fix things, it might be worth it to:
A) Check the program eventvwr.exe on your pc for any error messages mentioned therein.
B) get us that information on your PC.
C) Make absolutely sure your DirectX and Video-Card Drivers are up to date.
D) contact NCSoft Support

I found this thread which seems to suggest starting without the Launcher.
If that doesn't work, I recommend you try reaching PlayNC support on this one. The error message isn't telling me anything useful really. It also seems to be a bug in the game client rather than an issue with the client's PCs.
Oh well, it's still in Beta :-)
