Maybe because they don't exist :) However, I agree I haven't seen many radiation defenders either. Maybe the fact I mostly play villains these days has something to do with that, though.

Indeed, there's no Radiation Powerset for Blasters.
I always wondered why. I loved the Radiation Blast powerset on my Emp/Rad Defender and it would be soooo cool if the Radiated Beach-ball power (Neutron Bomb I think) had a Blaster's Umpf! behind it :-)

I happen to have a Blaster Lite with a rad primary and I know I'm not the only one, but I haven't seen any about lately. It's probably because radiation does so little damage per shot. It might also be because most of them figured out that the to-hit debuff from radiation blasts is very small.

I have a level 19 Radiation/Radiation Defender on Victory if you ever need one.
My one villain has Radiation as his secondary. I enjoy the set.

Come to the dark side.. be a Rad/Rad Corruptor!
With all the nice Defender secondary Radiation powers you knew, now your primary attacks! Melt people, blast, debuff, and sicken them to the point where they can't stand..
You know you want to..
It's heavy on the end though.
Also, we have cookies.

i made a rad/rad def soon as the issue with RV went live (cant remember its been so long) and i got him to 50 right quick. hes built for single target damage a la STF but if you look at the powersets, they have more aoe damage than most other single sets out there. nuetron bomb and irradiate for aoes and electron haze for cone. another bonus is its pure nrg damg, not nearly as resisted as other dmg types. id rather have a rad defender with those 3 powers than any other type of toon for aoe (except select tanks) and they also throw in whatever their primary is. 2 birds with 1 stone i say.

Heh, as for that rad + kin corrupter, dunno. Only thing I actually enjoy redside is MMs, but I can tell you, a pure rad def is sheer havok :D
Thinking about it now, a kin/rad def with dark epic would be nothing but sheer carnage. Seriously, syphon power, fulcrum shift, and that dark dmg boost, with aim? Rad blaster sounds about right... sheer radioactive blasting to atomic particles. Not as impressive as others, but hey, it'll add up with energy alone having a relative resist on most things, and it will be quite noticable.
Big Chill is a conscranker: he conrols a mob so they do nothing, scraps a target till they can't stand, and tanks what's left till the job's done.
Dive in, have fun, and think about it later.

I find my Rad/Rad defender to be one of the most "hostile" of the defenders, some good attacks and whole tool box of debuff/buffs, a minor heal and so on. But you have to tell people you are not a healer up front as people think that is all defenders can do :)

Not always. I was just thinking of rolling a Rad/Rad and calling him "Notahealer". Maybe they'll get the point?

I have a lvl 38 Rad/Rad Defender on Freedom, he's built for PvP though. He can annihilate Brutes and the Blaster equivalent villain, I forget the name of the AT. He does have problems with Stalkers, as all squishies do, but if i can ever get a stalker to show himself, he's a gonner. Also MM's seem to give me alot of trouble, but I think its mainly the 2 or 3 stalkers circling the MM :P. And the controller version Villain, the one with all the holds, If i can stun them b4 they hold me, then they're dead too. Muahahahahahah.
