myspace is stupid if you ask me why do we need a web site to talk to our friends and hang and stuff thats why we have phones or could uh go over to there house and hang out or something i swear they are trying to make it so you can do everything on your computer so you dont have to leave whats next a site where we can buy food that gets sent to our house!?! lol

Technology will overcome us all.
The human brain.. the most amazing piece of work known to man kind with unlimited storage space and capabilities that nothing can replicate..will be outdated within 1000 years maybe even 100 or 50 i can guarantee you.
Technology will replace the world one day, its growing so fast, seems to never have an end, so it will probably replace the human kind someday.

Hmm let me tell what myspace was originally meant for:
MySpace was developed mainly for musicians and bands to promote themselves around the world since the music-industry is a tough place to get contacts in. By using myspace and adding 'friends' it becomes easier to get contact with recordlabels, other musicians and bands that already gained status.
After 6 months people started using it for friends and picture comment nonsense and use it as a social place; but it was not intended that way.
I signed up to myspace since i'm a musician and actually promote the website and myspace of my band. Up till now we have had nice results for being on myspace; including contact with labels; booking agents and distributors.
If people use it socially; they use it to expand their own personal network; however i'd rather go to the pub to do that. Nothing beats meeting people while drinking a beer.

Thats what the UK version of Myspace was created for but not the original.

I have one that is used for my family. Considering my sisters and brothers all live in different states as well as most of my relatives it makes it nice. Not to mention as far as actually socializing there aren't many places here to go when you consider the closest small city is 30 mins away and closest big city is 2 hours away, yeah they have bars and clubs but thats not where you would want to take a family. People have different uses for myspace and not all of them are bad or pathetic.
All that being said yes I have one but not for finding new friends but just another way of keeping in contact with friends I already have and family.
I'm neither here nor there but everywhere. I am who I am and nothing more but yet I'm nothing less than what I strive to be.

Lol somewhere in the lines of what Stewie said in some Family Guy:
It's a place where I can use other people's creations to express my own individuality.
(not from word to word, can't remember the exact quote.)
Though it's good for free ad for bands and such. I never check any youtube bands 'cos I know that if they don't have a real website, they're not famous enough so that I could download their music from the net. :P
EDIT: MySpace really hasn't been that big of a hit here in Finland but we do have sites with the very same idea, just under a different name. Even back when I was a minor, I really couldn't figure out what was so fun posting teenpics of yourself drinking beer and puking on a table, posing in front of a mirror like you'd be something special, or some pictures where you're taking a piss in a bush and someone decided to take a pic and share it with the world?

ive got a myspace and its fine...apart from the leigon of beggit scene kids adding me through 2 of my friends ¬_¬ but the reject button is your friend
myspace isnt a "stupid thing", tbh, most people who slag it off probably fear that their friend count will be abominable.
its a good thing to talk to friends to as its free and doesnt use up my texts, and its good for leaving messages to your friends who arent on msn. AND its a good way of talking to people that you dont want to get your msn =]
facebooks better though, on the basis your friends, actually are your friends (apart from some guy who has the same name that added me.. but i accepted on the basis his name was badass).....

I have my space. But it's called my office when the door is closed. It means leave me alone!!!! LOL!!!!
Edit...I have 2 my space. The second is the little tiny edge of the bed that I get when she rolls over to the middle and pushes me to one side. So basically my space is 1/4 of the bed and her space is the middle to the other edge. if youre married or live with your significant other then you can probably relate to this. If you're not, you'll learn someday. Hehehe

However, this individual forgot himself to explain man's mightiest tool of all in the realm named ''Bed''.

A simple push during the night can severely increase the borders of your "MY Space", when having garnered enough experience with "Pushing", one can indeed expand his borders silently without getting noticed.
A powerfull gift it is.

I have myspace. It is only for the friends I cannot go and see, and for my family because they live far away and it is very easy to keep in touch with everyone. I do not use it to get attention; I only have 60-something friends and half of them are my cousins. I think I might have no more than 3 "friends" that I do not know personally because I play GW with them.
I did not create an account because it was the thing to do, I created one to talk to my RL friends and my family.

lol, depends. They have to be of legal age. I usually get my liquor from my roommate.
As far as myspace is concerned, I feel it's a good way to meet people. I've already met two very attractive girls who are joining myself and my friends to see the movie "Strange Wilderness" tonight.
Just remember this quote "You have no reason to rant on something unless your envy it in some kind of way".
