Pilot Choices 

Since the pilot seems to be the only thing that you can't retrofit and toy around with, it is the thing that I am most concerned about changing. What should I do with my upgrade points? What's good, and what's nerfed? Does any mech I build afterwards have to be based off of the points I spent on my pilot, therefore reducing my adaptability?

Any parts or changes you make to your mech effect your points, not vice versa.

Basically, think of your mech as an addon. Everything you change adds on to your pilots abilities. So, if your gun gives you +5 attack(just a number for reference), and your base is 10, you'll do 15 attack. If you switch guns, sure, that number will change, but your base stays the same. Everything you add or modify will only enhance your base numbers.

Does that make sense?
