I was kinda broke so I did some missions to get 1k cash. I finaly got it and decided to solo the UW as I usualy do to get money. When I got to the 2nd group of Grasping Darkness I suddenly couldn't activate any skills and GW just froze.
A minute later it says I have a DC. Took me 7 minutes to finaly get connected again, what do I see? "Your party was defeated. Return to outpost"
That't total bull*kitten*! If someone is in the UW alone and get's a DC, you should get a free restart or something. Now I can start getting 1k together again and hope I don't get another DC.

I have the same kind of trouble at times. It usually happens when I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing, and then, BLAMO..I cant move, activate skills or anything; then comes the D/C window. I feel your pain Blazings, except I have yet to enter UW. It would be nice if one could restart where they died, but you said that there was a 'Your Party Was Defeated' window thingy to go back to outpost :\
Sorry bout that.

It's not just 1k, I've got laggs the entire morning and I can't even farm or do anything that involves a team since I lagg out the entire time. And another option is auto Passage Scroll in your inventory or w/e. Be creative.

Well, when youre lagging, you could, i dunno, use your brain and not do stuff where you have to pay to go to it. Or, you could just deal with it like everyone else...

Have to agree with Blazings here..
I was in a Primary Quest in GW:EotN this morning..And i froze..Could click on skill but they won't activate. After a few minutes i got Disconnected. I took me 4 attempts to get back in the game. My party killed all the waves,so that didn't matter. But i was busy reconnecting to GW for about 10 minutes.
Later i heard more people complaining about alot of Disconnects and Lag this morning/midday. Hope this is something Anet can fix...Quickly..
Well..The 1k you can get very quickly btw..Just go outside an town in HM..Easily done..

yep, if i'm not glowing green with ping rate i don't even bother to farm anything or attempt PvP. although spikes come up it's quite rare.
it's only 1k, just do some Canthan quests, you'll have it back in 10 minutes.

Why are u so up tight on 1k it is not like it was 100k just vanquish a area and move on uit is double xp and money one zone should give give u your 1k and plenty more.

Blazings, I feel your pain. Just because some people don't feel 1k isn't a lot, doesn't mean it isn't to some of us. Tell me if I am wrong or not, but I got the feeling you were saying, one, you didn't have another 1k atm and two, it was that you lagged out in a place where you had to pay to get into and not just some mish or area you just zone into. That would have pissed me off too. In fact, I have frozen before (fighting Mhenlo, right b4 getting to Bison) and just sat there watching Mhenlo kill me with his wimpy ass weapon and not a single spell. Totally annoying...would be nice if when you actually freeze that the game did too. But noooooo they keep on fighting and laughing at how incredible stupid you are to sit there and take it.
Hopefully the lag issue with be fixed and calm down soon. That way you will feel confident enough to go out and do what other things you can to make the 1k back. I would say vanquish too like others did...but if you are lagging out a lot, you might DC b4 finishing the area and not get your double gold. That would make me really bring out words my 6 yr old can't hear. lol GL with it all Blazings, and if it happens again, know I am cussing with you.

WEll I was just wonder.. first my post was rated a 10.
Now my first post is rated -3 and the second one -5.
If people give negative credit they should say why. Just giving it without any reason is pretty weak imo.
And Serenety, thank you for your understanding. And no I didn't have another 1k and I died at the graspings who are the first foes you have to kill in the UW. 0 loot was the result.

It's perfectly reasonable to expect a free redo if there is any cost to enter an instance. Nearly every game will grant your request if you DC'd almost as soon as you got in like that. You just usually have to go through a GM right away or submit a through the website. I've never had to do it in GW, but I need it all the time in Dragon Raja.
And as for his complaining about the 1000 gold, it's may not be a lot, but he had to save up for it. That makes it all the more annoying.

HOW could you Mhenlo killing you with his stupid weapon? I mean, if you have a frozen screen EVERYTHING is frozen and the only thing you can do is make turns...

Something needs to be done about the negative credit system.
As Blazings said, it is being abused by some people (won't name any names, but they know who they are).
For example, my first post in this thread was originally rated -10. I really see no reason for that at all...it was not offensive, it was not spam, it was nothing against the rules and contained nothing bad at all. If people can abuse the system and just give negative credit to anyone they want whenever they want, then what is there to gain from having this system in place?
