What keeps you going

I recently bought guild wars, (like 3 months ago) and i'm having a lot of fun with the environment and quests and finding new stuff and all but i wander, what keeps you going? after having completed every title possible and farmed every part of the game or else.... what keeps you going? what do you like most? pvp...pve... trading minipets? trying new characters? Do you simply like the game?

I got 22 Months on GW, seems so long, lol.

I simply enjoy playing the game with people I enjoy the company of.
I do most of the stuff you list at one time or another, al depends on my mood.

Though I will return eventually to get that last 100 fame for r6, and maybe grind a couple o titles...

What keeps me going? Nothing at the moment. I have nothing else to accomplish in GW right now. I have beaten every campiagn and gotten to what I have considered my goal in GW. I still get on time to time but not as much as I used to. I want to try some other games till GW2 comes out.

Well for me I'm still setting new goals to reach with each of my characters.

But the main reason is that I haven't found another free to play game that I like better.

I'm neither here nor there but everywhere. I am who I am and nothing more but yet I'm nothing less than what I strive to be.

Its an ok game but like I said just haven't found one I like better right now. I'll probably switch when SC2 comes out (That is whenever or if it does being its a Blizzard game). I still play other games from time to time just none has taken me away from Guild Wars really.

I use one chacter i play the most it is my necro I just added a new slot to my list I am curestly working on LDoA title on my ranger I have 8 chacters that caneve ncap the rest or do outher things this game nevergets boring to me.

Great question. After playing for a while, i get very bored. What keeps me going is goals. For example, i say, i want to get a gold, req. 9 max sword, shield, axe and hammer for my warrior. All perfectly modded. I farm for a while, get my new weapons, and after that i love to AB and RA to try them out. I just recently bought my warriors 2nd elite armor, and i love it. Soo, when i get bored, i just try to make goals.

33 months, don't want to think about hours, been playing pretty much every day since release, though never did beta, was playing RYL and Asheron's Call at the time.

what keeps me going?

bottom line, out of all the fun that can be had in PvE, PvP, title hunting, armor collecting, etc, People are the reason i keep coming back.

i've met some really good people along here that i wish had a closer proximity to my city as i feel they'd be good friends in physical-real life. the nice thing is life takes you to many different places or certainly has the ability to, so with knowing that there are good people in pretty much every country in the world makes it a lot easier to go there. this might sound deep, but hey, it's the way i feel about it.

that's why i still play GW, the folks know who they are too.

it's really the reason i play MMO's is to meet people, that and i'm good at them and suck at FPS and racing games. :P

My guild/alliance, getting armor for my characters, getting titles on my main character, and trying out new things whenever Anet releases a big update. Cheers ^_^

I'm working on my 4th ranger. people keep me going I like to traverse the game and sometimes I get to help someone who is seeing it with fresh eyes. maybee i only help them a little bit.
Sometimes I don't think I help at all but the times when someone becomes a little bit better. Makes me smile.

My guild and one of my friends.
My friend and I are racing for the KoaBD titles. Both at 9 titles currently. I made it to KoaBD be4 him, but we're very even on pkm, even thugh he might get it be4 me:(

~Still need to beat GW:EN
~Show my Paragon the world of Cantha and Tyria
~Get my Paragon all the Canthan,Tyrian and GW:EN Titles..
~Hoping for more nice Paragon armor..
~Play my other Characters through all campaings.
~Get all the 15k Armors for all my characters i like.
~Chatting with AMP Guild & AMP Alliance.

Take a break when you're really bored of it.
I've done it 3x, each time after completing most of the 'new' campaign (Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North).

Same here ED...my guild is small...we don't kick for being away months at a time lol But the handful that are on frequently keep me coming back. I like talking to them, teasing and such. I like talking to the friends out of guild that I have met. What would really make me happy is to be in an alliance that was full of all of them. lol I am not always so good at switching between guild chat and whispers. lol This is my first MMO...32 months and running, and though I am getting tired of grinding or such, if I group with someone I like, even that is new and fun. Though I doubt I will ever have the money to meet my NZ mates...lol, I at least know what a Chook is now!
