Post Your Warrior Armor Combinations

Hey I want everyone to post pictures of their warrior's armor combinations. I'm thinking of investing in an Elite set and want some ideas

I was thinking of Ancient with maybe Elite Ascalon helm?

if someone could post that i would be grateful, but
post anything,
along with your ideas.

Also before I got FoW I used 15k dragon pants, legs and upper gladiator with a 15k charr helm.

Else: charr 15k boots, 15k glad hauberk, gloves, pants and a FoW helm.

Hmmm I don't have a screenshot from it since I'm not at home, but my warrior has primeval helmet, legs and feet and 15k glads chest and arms. I still need to dye the top parts white, but if you all dye it white it looks pretty cool =]

I suggest getting Glad's with Luxon 15k boots (or monumental, same model), and some nice helmet to go with it. Common Armor, FoW, Monument, Ascalon, whatever floats your boat.

The first max armor my warrior had, re-bought it few days ago. Looks awsome with a FDS and Ornate Buckler.

Well im also not on my normal PC so i dont have any pics of my characters,

But i do have a drawing i did of my warrior saved on this PC, posted it a while back so you may have seen it, although ive edited the left hand since then bcos it bothered me lol.

Its the combo i always use its Obsidian helm, 15k Gladiators chest and arms and the legs down are vabbian :D hope you like it.

a really awesome combo i saw once was 15k kurzick helmet 15k gladiators chest and gloves and then 15k dragons legs and boots all died black. if anyone has that combo please post a pic of it.

The hammer bottom right is awsome.. indeed. the rest aint that special IMO. Ive seen better ones, but the hammer bottom right surely is awsome!

I'm afraid it is done on photoshop :P even timing wont get you that motion blur effect, correct me if im wrong but I think its highly likely kikutas used photoshop, and if he hasn't I'd eat my hat :).
I'll tell you how its done Delphi, or at least this is how i've done it in the past (kikutas pics inspired me to make a few pics in this style of my rit, and i've used this technique in the past too)

As I said this may not be the way kikuta did it, but this is one way of achieving the same effect
Basicly export the image you want into photoshop or paintshop, then take the base image and create a duplicate layer in the layer select options. Now, using the blur filter (found under effects
in Paint Shop Pro, and in the filter options in Photoshop) to create the "Wind" type blur effect accross the image as if the picture is in motion. Set this to a high level to create the right effect, you
should be able to do this quite simply on both photoshop and
Paintshop ( I use jasc Paint shop pro, I favor it over adobes photoshop, I've have both but paint shop seems to have more features)

This will blur the entire image, including your character. now to fix this:
Select the new layer which you have added the blur effect and select masks > new masks > show all. Then select a decent size brush and select jet black.

Now this may sound strange, but you need to airbrush over all of the areas you want to not be blurry using the black brush, sticking as closely to your characters edge as possible. Providing you
are doing this on the correct mask show all layer you have just created it should not show up in black, but instead "clean" the blur effect away from the areas you colour black. If you un blur too
much simply use white to go back over the areas you want re blurred.

The areas coloured black are filtered out from the blur effect on the layer above, where as the white is left blurred, allowing you to create the effect of the background being in motion while your
character still being perfectly crisp and clear :D

Simple :D

Close! In these sort of pictures I make I manually select the character and all sections I want exempt from the blur with the Lasso tool and create a new layer via copy of the selection I made. Same idea with the blurring, I use Radial Blur on the background layer, choosing the centre of the blur according to the shot (for example, in the Kurzick Elite compilation the blur centre is the hammer ball).

And I'm glad you liked it! My work is meager in comparison to what's been contributed in this guru thread (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10030483&page=9) - particularly this shot, created by RavenGT

Seriously consider sifting through that thread if you want some inspiration for future work, there are absolute gems in there!

Cheers for the link I'll definatly take a look at those, yeah I thought that might be how you did it :) the way I described is how I normaly do it but I have used the lasso tool to do it before :)

I personaly find its more accurate using the mask layer way, but overall you get the same effect the way you described ^^ I forgot its called radial blur in photshop, I'm more used to Paintshop Pro where I just use manual filters to do it so they didnt have specific names ^^
