| The Ban Hammer and Credit Scamming |

The ban hammer has hit for a few of your friends here at GW GameAmp today. They have been warned or banned previously for credibility scamming and we take it very seriously here at GameAmp.
Let these bans and account deletions serve as a warning to all of you that it will not be taken lightly and you to can get banned. I dont care if you have been a member 4 minutes or 4 years, everyone who scams on the credit system will get banned for it.
Credibility is not only a nice thing to have to show you know something about the game but it is used for real money discounts at the gameamp shop. Therefore it is not taken lightly when someone scams the site. It is stealing in a way.
So don't do it because people will eventually get caught and its not cool. That and your fellow forum members will flame you for it.
So alas the ban hammer has hit and will continue to hit until the problem is taken care of. Some members may be able to return but most will be perma banned.
Credibility abuse consists of- Creating multiple accounts and rating your own posts
- Rating only friends posts to raise their credit even if it does not contribute to the community.
- spamming forums with bumps and other nonsense to raise your post count and credibility.
- continually rating the same post or persons posts with negative or positive credit no matter what that person says.
- Misc other credit abusing activities.
SO DO NOT DO IT!

lol sweetie im a girl. And I dont mean giving credit to people in general. I am talking about a few people on this forum targeting. People banned today targeted people with negative 10 on every post for the last month or more. Every post that person made got negative 10. That is abuse. Then they would post and give each other plus 10 on every post.
Credit went up from 100 to 1500 in a single day because tehy were spamming the forum and giving plus 10 to each other. That is credit abuse.
Not randomly giving credit to a person. Or giving someone who contributes regularly positive credit. Or for that matter someone that should have gotten negative credit the negative as long as it is deserved.
I am talking about the credit rampages that give plus or minus to ALL of those persons posts.

Well if you saw the "Bump Game Thread" Last night that thread gained 9 pages in less then 15 minutes. It was quite obvious who were doing it. And i might also point out im being flammed to hell on xfire by one of the banned people or something, well i had nothing to do wit hany of it so ill be blocking them on xfire as well.

I took a genuine screen of it, ill just block them, i dunno how but i think they might have blocked me first any way if you wanna see it ill PM it to you kanna. Lol... it was sort of halirous.

I noticed i've lost 4 credit past few days, thought i don't recon posting anything negative, nor have i posted almost anything at all. 0.o
And another thing.. what does that "alas" mean.. dictionary doesn't have it. :P

Alas means.. "and thus" or... its just fancy. :D
As for the credit lose. If you have gained credit in a thread that has been deleted, you lose it.

No names are going to be posted, mostly because it's really unimportant.

I didn't know credibility counted towards the GA store. Thats pretty cool. I just looked at it and might have to get the Pizza shirt for my fiance'. Her and her daughter are pizaa-holics. They could eat it 4 or 5 times a week for dinner. She would probably get a kick out of that shirt. : )
Couple of questions....
How do you know how much of a discount you have earned?
Does your checkout process use paypal? I am hesitant about sending my CC info over the net.

Where will you see it applied during the transaction?

I wonder why people think that they can get away with this stuff. It just shows how dumb people are. They where silly for thinking that they could get past Dru and the other admins on gameamp. :P

Good Job, Dru. I know I was getting tired of hearing about people getting the negative credit. Not of them mentioning it or complaining about it, but the fact that it was happening over and over. I knew it had to be the same person or people, and it was infuriating and annoying. Glad they are gone, cause we don't need ppl like that in this great community. Thanks for taking care of it Dru, and for watching out for this great site.
