Got a little bored and was surfing and found this early Pre-release Game demo video. Was a whole different game back then, check this out.

That's not even the oldest preview I have seen.
Attacks like Flamesword have been toggles and you could aim for different bodyparts when you attacked.

Wow, some neat stuff there. In a perfect world we would have the ability to choose any primary and secondary set and still get a team but MMO's don't tend to work that way. I can see why they had to force categorization, because when it came down to it, everyone would rather have superman on their team than someone like cyclops. Still, I want to be able to create ANY hero I can think of. I like the idea of choosing your primary power set, then a specific type of that set. This could be incorporated into origins rather well. Say for Fire blast... One choice would give you animation that use a wand or staff, another could be natural energy projection from your hands (like it currently is) and another could be from technology covering your body. I really think that there should be multiple sets of animations, especially with power pools, as it becomes difficult to explain why I'm a magic origin that needs a wristpad (Aid Self) to activate my healing power. This is the next big innovation I'd like to see along with stances. Just different choices for how your hero carries himself, such as the hulk would be brutish, and a ninja would be acrobatic... something along those lines to help differentiate physiques and origins.

Just some thoughts and though they would be work for sure, I think the devs would be up for a challenge.
