Canthan New Year Approaches 6 February 2008
Shing Jea Monastery is currently making preparations for the coming Canthan New Year's Festival! The festivities will commence at Noon PST (-8 GMT) on Friday, February 8, 2008. Try your luck at the re-opened Shing Jea Boardwalk, or test your mettle in the Rollerbeetle Races and the Dragon Arena. The culinary inclined can help collaborate in creating a feast to please the Celestial Rat. There's even more to do, and many special surprises, so head over to the special event page to get all the details of this annual celebration.

In addition to the festival rewards mentioned above, two special miniatures will be available this year. For those lucky enough to receive multiple miniature pigs during last year's celebration, look for a special collector with a celestial surprise for you. And watch those Lunar Fortunes closely. Your immediate future just might include a miniature Celestial Rat in your pack.

Hopefully the new title will be along the same lines of Drunkard and Sweet Tooth - 1000 points for first tier and 10000 for the second, and final. Although it's gonna be boring and costly to max, at least it means that I can miss out either Saviour of the Kurzicks or Grandmaster Treasure Hunter on my trek towards GWaMM. ;-)
Fingers crossed my connection will be sorted by this weekend. T_T

Heh, I got like 6 mini pigs, and kept ALMOST giving them away. Guess I'll hold onto them and see whats up. I bet they'll suddenly be more valuable, as some people who didn't get them will want to buy them to trade in for whatever the NPC gives.

Awww, that sucks. I got like 6 last year. With those 6 and the couple of mini's that are duplicates, each of my characters get at least one for their hall. lol Otherwise all the mini's went to Serenity. Will have to see what the collector one is before I give any away.
