Always on a new build. So, here's the latest: sonic/devices blaster. Some questions:
1) I have a question about the Cryo Freeze Ray from the blaster epic munitions pool.
What are the numbers for the end mod on the weapon.
Also, should an opponent have resistance to hold, does the end drain still succeed on a hit (without a hold)?
2) (And this may just be the builder I'm using) Why can the trip-mines be slotted for accuracy, when the power has no acc value?
3) Is the body armour from the munitions set worth getting?
The numbers look low, but that can be decieving for game play predictions. I imagine it stacks well with tough. Is it worth it by itself?
4) Has anyone ever used this blaster combo before. What kind of effect on dmg can i expect my dmg resist debuff to have on my devices?

1: I think the end mod on it is just an error (looking at mids, don't beleive it'll do anything if it IS on there)
2: The mines do need accuracy to hit, since they don't rely on Targetting drone or any such thing to boost, nor are they auto-hit.
3: Its not the BEST armor, but having an auto resist to the most common types is very handy, espcially when mezzed.
4: as far as your sonic's -resists, they most likely won't do too much for your devices I think. Trip mines take a bit to set, so any buffs would probably wear off before they are set and go off. But I could be wrong in this respect since devices defiance buffs seems to be the weirdest.

on this topic, i was thinking about making a sonic/?? blaster, the -res debuff would stack well with the new defiance damage boost, right? i was thinking either ice or fire, but im not sure yet. any ideas?
PS - sorry i know nothing of devices or munitions mastery.

If you thinking fire or ice, I say fire. I have a sonic/fire blaster who is 20 atm, and is very fun to play. Weaken everything with a sonic attack, while also building up defiance, then hit them with fire sword circle and finish them off. ^_^

The cryo freeze is a great stopper, I've found it freezes everyone but EB/AVs unless there are two of them and then some times you get a hold.
The armour vest is very good, with just one SO, a fight that before would have left me at about 1/2 health, left me at about 7/8th's. So get I'd it.
The devices set is very handy but once you get mines you need a team that will allow you the time to set up 2 or 3 mines and pull the mob on to them. Setting up 10 or so mines and the pull will take up to 1/2 the health of a EB/AV. For best effect used the caltrops over the mines to cause the mob to bunch up hit more of them.

If you want to get the most out of the sonic -resist, Energy Secondary is the best by far. Aim + BU + Shout + Scream + Total Focus + Bonesmasher should drop just about anything short of an AV, and the single target damage of energy compliments the single target debuffs of sonic.
Nine of the five voices in my head say I'm not insane. Majority rules!

i think im going to go with ice, because i really like the idea of having them stuck on an ice patch while i wail on them, gradually doing more and more damage. also, the melee attacks offered in the ice set are really nice, they do great damage, dont use too much end, and have the slow bonus.
PS - should i make sure to get the 1 and 2 tier powers from both my primary and secondary sets to be able to use them when held? or is it the first few powers you pick that you can use or what? if i get the fitness pool and both aim and build up, i wrote out my build and i cant fit both scream and shriek into it, and if i choose either frozen fists or ice sword, im going with ice sword.
