How Do you do it?..

i want to know how people can afford to buy Obsidian armour? im not exactly new and over the 2 and a half years ive been playing i have not even got close. i have about 150k-ish in my storage and dont know how people do it.

any tips for me please?

Play the game. x.x You can do repeated UW and FoW runs to get your Shards and Ecto. Do Dungeons, Vanquishes and other HM stuff for money.

UW/Tombs/FoW farm. Don't sell the ectos/shards to the trader, keep them , so u got the expensive stuff outta the way. Then, buy the other mats and have the money for the armor itself rdy. BTW, it could take months to get enough ecto/shards :P

Farm Aatxe and Smites for ecto's

I dont see me jummping out of my socks to spend that much on armmor Iusally make one up grade to one proffesions I use the most.But there is no way i spending yr and aday to get everything for one chacter and then be broke again.

I mean I dont see me any time soon wasting that much money for one set of armmor when u can get the same stuff on a cheeper set of armmor.

Basicly I'm a born trader, I've always been and always will be. I just trade high end items daily looking for good deals on rare golds, then either mod them up or just sell them straight on for a better price.

I play on the fact that some people are desperate to sell their weapons either because there fed up and dont have the time or because they're desperate for cash. Either way I buy up these gold weapons and spend the time they didn't have selling them at a better price. By making some cash from doing simple farms like undead on HM I can invest into buying weapons and selling them on. I can quite easily buy a weapon from someone whos fed up of selling and then spend some time and effort in selling it for far more. I can make up to 5-10 ectos on one trade within an hour, which is better than most UW farms.

But note I never mislead people into selling cheaply and never scam, if I see soemone selling something ridicuously low like a weapon worth 400k for 4k then i'll always tell them, I feel wrong if I rip someone off, or just to see someone else rip them off.

But with a good knowledge of the market and a little sweet talk you can make millions from this method, I've turned 16k to 187k in a few hours :)

You've just got to be dedicated really. Like people have said, your options pretty much consist of farming, trading high end items or, if you're in no rush for it, "play the game" and sell EVERYTHING that you get to the merchant, and then sell any mods/rare skins to others.

If you stick with it, and don't get side-tracked, you can quite easily go from 0k to having enough for Obsidian in a couple of weeks, depending on how much time you spend playing a day of course.

Agreed with the first paragraph. Why do people have to be such C**TS on this forum? We're here to talk and make friends, not make fun of people because they can't elaborate themselves using a PC. As for me, this is how I do
Farming now day is wack, except for doing Elite dugeon HM so I wouldn't recommend farming. In most game marketing is the main key to richness. Buy less sell more. Gotta know what's hot to sell or buy. For example, pigs are hot right now. I'd buy 10k for one and sell for 20k. Double profit. Then everything depend on a little luck but mostly for marketing you'll need a good memory. If you don't and while you look up for price, someone else will snatch it before you do.

I mean how is saying its a waste of time to try and get obsidian going to help someone asking for help on how to earn enough for obsidian?

look back at all his posts, all of them are completely pointless and either offer no help to the request or simply insult the person who posted it. Just look at most of his guide or screen shot comments and you'll understand, its not how he types its the content.

A way to merchant without gambling on lower end golds, is only buy Eternal Blades, Voltaic spears etc.

I generally trade amrbraces. I bought myself a tormented shield yesterday as well as fow gloves and boots, and still have 100k + 40 ectos.

The way I did it was buying armbraces. I guarentee 1 in every 10 sellers will give it to you, for 100k + 18e at todays price.

Back when people were stupid it was fun, I would buy from 100 + 25e in american and go to europe and sell for 100k + 35.

Make sure when selling it back, go about 2 or 3 ectos overprice, because people ALWAYS offer lower.
If your selling for 100k + 35e, your offered 100 + 30e. If your selling for + 37, u get + 32. Bear in mind this requires patience.

Also, when buying, just whisper someone selling, and say "When your tired of selling, 100k + 18e" for example. The BEST reaction is "lol, noob" But, 9 times out of 10, they return half an hour doing something else, youll get that whisper, and youve sold it.

Once youve got enough cash, you can do 10 at a time - which my guild leader does, He has around 12 stacks of ectos atm, and I envy him alot.

Before I joined my current guild, I thought the same as you did, but this game is so easy to make money in it is ridiculous.

Hehehe, If you're wanting the armor, really its like Kanna said, just play the game. Bring characters through the games/going through titles and other goals brings up the cash flow amazingly! I end up with probably about 200k a week and I hardly play anymore.

Granted, I spend a lot to help others out, but still. Just playing Factions alone and all the quest can grant you around 100k if you sell all the drops you pick up.

Same goes for the other chapters. Just playing really brings up the cash flow.

You don't even have to farm! Hehehe. Although, if you're wanting SS/LB that's actually awfully profitable. Only reason I really did it on so many charaters... and well, I also figured it'd be neat if all my chars had KOBD xD

That's the easiest way. Vanquishing also helps the money flow. I get lots of gold drops that sell for a good sum of money (though I just sell to merchant because I'm lazy and don't care for standing around a town)

Hehe, just remember, if you're trying to earn money, don't buy expensive things. Like a bunch of Lockpicks/Keys etc.

If you're wanting enough money for obsidian, you can always playing HM/NM and switch between Euro/AM servers depending what time you're online to find a group. Everytime I went to TOA theres always groups forming there still.

Hehe, theres tons of things you can do for money. It's just a matter of managaing your money and not buying a WHOLE load of goodies. =)

The best way to make lots of money is to buy/sell highend items..like ppl here said alrdy.

But if you don't know alot about the prices of the items that are going around in the big towns, I would just farm.
As example..UW/FoW solo, both on NM. The things I farm in Hard Mode are Undead, solo green, Raptors or Vaettir.

Don't spend all your time on farming one spot, I recommend you to switch to another spot before it's gonna bore you.

Powertrade, i did 1000k in 2½ week.

Start small with +30 upgrades and keep trading more expensive items as time goes.

i think exo was talking about jaffar not u straight up lol. yeah jaffar has something against lord of darkness if you read every comment on a pic where lord said get a life jaffar was always like OMG GTFO BLAH BLAH BLAH. pure embarrassment.

anyways, to get my last set of fow i farmed random stuff, did those free chests which gave me 15k and golds to ID(woot). but most of my money came from selling my 6 guardian of the hunts, chaos axes, and other random shit i picked up from playing/merchanting.
