Ok. Heres my rant. I hate all of these holiday events in GW, they always have some childish theme, but the real problem is the activities. Either, if you can do them alone, they basically suck and have no real reward, and the ones you do in teams, or against other players are just completely unfair. You can't even choose your teams so no matter how good you are your efforts will always be ruined by the silly 8 year olds who either cannot do a thing, or just do not understand what they are doing, and won't listen.
Why can't we choose our own teams, or make the solo events better?!
But its all okay... because we get a hat. Horay...

Both sides of the team have an even chance of having good and bad players so I don;t see how this is unfair.

The Rollerbeetle has no teams, you just race. >.> just Enjoy them. A-net doesn't have to put these events on for us. I love them, and I'm glad they do them. :)

well its almost 100% luck to get into top 100 for rollerbeetle. Its an obvious fact that if nobody fights, ul all do better, but u always get noobs who think that comming 1st in the race is what matters most.

You will still be able to get the Lion Mask. Just no info on how to obtain it yet.

I think I know what the rewards are: I found skins of a rat, pig, tiger, ... in the DAT file (all the chinese birthsigns ). So I am thinking, an everlasting rat juice, lion juice, ect. Something that has to do with your (Guild Wars)birthsign
oh and i also found a few skins from the DaW contest, they were added yesterday

I thought Gaile said the celestial rat will not give out any masks or minis in the event but there will be a special item, something explosive I think :/

meh i dont think its to terrible. i like a few of the things. like big events at the end.
i atill think that haloween and wintersday are the best. if people can get into the spirit and have a bit of fun!

I do kinda agree that sometimes those events (Rollerbeetle, Dragon Arena, ...) can be f*cked up *Rollerbeetle Lagg ftl*.
But on the other hand I do appreciate developing the Background of GW more.
Wether be it by quest(s), Arena's, Events or whatever!
Sometimes you'll just have to shake the annoyence off!

so far it seems in rollerbeetle - you need to have atleast 3 super beetle powerupa to get in top 100 - including 1 right at start. Also, nobody must attack u - so many times im in lead, then get hit, then next guy come up, hits me, next guy, then next guy etc till im 2 screens behind every1 :-(. I still dnt get why people fight - it doesn't make u go faster.

It doesn't make you go fast, but its there so they can knock other people out of the lead. :P

Well I highly doubt it'll be any kind of everlasting tonic. The event page describes the mystery treat as 'volatile' and that just doesn't seem to fit.
