| Vanquishing with Hereos and Henchmen |
|
|
|
I can't remember every build perfectly...but this may offer some help when you decide to Vanquish with H/H.
Keep in mind, I play a Monk (Prot)...Builds will vary depending on your profession, and your playing style, not mine. ..
| Team Setup | Build |
| My Char | OwYS8YITIDFEBEaRzE3V2E5g |
| Master Of Whispers (MM) | OANDUslfOL1qAeANUPCIV13J |
| General Morgahn | OQOk8klopimTQuCbh9xBkL8EWeD |
| Zhed Shadowhoof | OgNDoMz9MID62YVZAM8F4C0I |
Eternal Grove-location
Starting from Vasburg Armory...
The henchmen I took were:
Monk Danika (Healer)
Monk Redemptor Klaus (Protection)
Sheena (Vile)
Cynn (Mage)
I was having issues with Wardens when I used my usual team setup, so I slapped an extra monk in the party and took out the warrior. I found that the warrior was practically useless.. .Warriors can't hold aggro; especially in HM. Yes, sometimes they're useful. But I didn't have any trouble vanquishing with this set up.
The key for Eternal Grove (Explore) is to pull the Warden groups... That way you don't end up with some random patrol putting extra pressure on your party. So make sure you bring a long bow with you... You can also use corners/walls and place your casters behind it, so the arrows will miss.
If you're careful with your pulling you can avoid spawning wardens around Flower Spiritgarden.
Bramble Everthorn (The assassin boss) was the only boss I had a bit of trouble with, but not much. That was mostly because Unis decided to spawn lol...and with some pulling after rez, he was easy... =)
I went and did the entire Warden part (Left Side of the Explore area...) before I went to the right closest to the door to Vasburg... I only did that to make sure I could kill all the Wardens without any chance of DP happening.. .I just killed the groups of Kirins patrolling to get some minions up and running.... (I also killed a few tigers to get some minions occasionally.
But honestly, it went really smooth...and only took me an hour to vanquish it. =) I kept using the Kurz Merchants to clear my inventory; so I made a load of money from that area =)
| Team Setup | Build |
| My Char | OwYS8YITIDFEBEaRzE3V2E5g |
| Master Of Whispers (MM) | OANDUslfOL1qAeANUPCIV13J |
| Earth Ele | OgBCkMzTqAW8KUdnCuKTDZA |
| Mesmer-Dom | OQhDAqwDKnw0fB5QGE3owFD |
**Note: I remember having a Mesmer...Just can't remember what I put him as :P my bad! Just some dmg build...with int is what I used in my last spot. :D**
Cantha Starter Island
These builds are a bit updated from what I used... but they'd be good still.
Starter Island is easy areas... even though you only get a party of 4 (although, you can start from Seitung Harbor for some areas to get a larger party...and slap in some henchmen to help you out).
I just looked at the time, and I can't actually sit here anymore...lol! I have to go finish cleaning... Have company coming over on the 14th for the my bday. =)
But, I hope this helped you a little bit. =)
Feel free to offer you own builds that worked... =)))

the 3 necro setup only works in certin areas like you cant use it on the last part of nf for sure there is outher parts that 3 necros is worthless.

Whenever I go along with a second friend, we'll have the three necros and the para that compliments the build really well... Otherwise I don't normally go out with just the three necros as my selection. Mainly because, in the harder areas its just not practical for an easier win... :P at least, imo! =)

Works great for me. I've switched to the Para because it add extra defense...and still does some damage. (Rouge actually gave me the build that I think I posted on the first post)...
hehe...It works for me though... I just finished Canthan Vanquishing with my friend Jdun who plays an SS... so I had the Para and Necro/Rt as two of my hereos, and he had the mm =) ...we didn't die...and we finished pretty quickly... =)

Since I know nothing about PvE, I have to ask this question: Why would you take a Paragon, rather than a Warrior, Bunny Thumper or Dervish? Is it for stuff like Song of Restoration with spear attacks and shouts, like the typical SoR P/W in pvp?
EDIT: Typical. The question I asked got answered as I was typing it. I asked before it was said! I swear!

Can someone tell some good 1-2 (human + hero) people build to shut down healers in HM?
Almost all areas with my monk hero + solo build or 3 solo people + 3 monks.
Up until desolation i vanquished all maps without monk/rt bosses in NF, almost everything in factions (once again, where no monk/rt bosses).
So i need 1-2 man build to kill: Margonite dervishes, many healers monk bosses, almost all rt bosses, and few paragon restoration bosses and some necros.
Soon... Or never.

I have also started to use the 3 nec way, but (as always) I changed their builds a little. If someone dies, all the enemies in the area get 180dmg.. I prefer that above SS, since heroes usualy put SS up when the enemies are at 10% hp or something.
Livia: | OAhiYwhMNOxJOMd9gtJN1sdxAA |
MoW: | OANDUrpvSVBLVoBKgVVQNvOBEA |
Olias: | OANDY8Z/Kjhds71MbA11TAB |
Livia is heal rit, MoW is Jagged Bones + prot and Olias is Icy Veins + prot.
EDIT: No idea why there's such a huge gap in there =$

May I suggest a shutdown hero with power block, or someone have scourge healing, or bring smooth criminal with you.
These are just suggestions, so no flaming.

I just completed vanquishing Cantha with the 3 nec (sabway) build.
For the Forest area
I did modify the MM by removing his prot skills and replaced them with death damage skills.
for henches I brought
heal hench
prot hench
and the 2 tanks
I found a full prot was better than half a prot.
Your priorities should be seasons, summers, and earths.
I am a ranger/paragon barrage, "go for the eye" , aria of envy, and hexbreaker aria, savage shot, r10 "i am the strongest" , "i am unstoppable", and res

Sorry to say it but you are wrong. I use the 3 Necro build and I have used it to vanquish all of NF, Factions, and I have 7 places left in Prophicies. Have had no problem what-so-ever in an area.
Well I wish I had a nickel, For every time I fell and blamed somebody else
I'd give a ton of money to the ones I’ve hurt, And I’d still be sittin' pretty well
I've spent years losin' touch of what's right and what's real Caught up in these missions of my own
And you're tellin' me you think I’ve done so damn well While we're sittin' here a thousand miles from home

Well I have been busy vanquishing myself and find the necros work very well in almost all areas of NF (only 4 more to go).
Thing is you may have to make changes as you go to some of the builds. For example I changed the SS necro build to this
SS
Insiduous
Signet of lost souls - energy
signet of distration - interupt every ~11s
leech signet - interupt every ~16s
Hex eater signet - AoE hex removal every ~13s + energy
signet of humility - diable elite every ~11s
Mantra of inions - reduces recharge of signets by 42%
I set up the attributes with max curses and split the difference between SR and inspiration.
This works great in the desolation where there are multiple soft rezzes in each groups (signet of return and renew life).
In addition to the necros I take 2 ele, 1 monk and 1 paragon hench. I either run ursan so I can control the aggro or play as the N/RT and use an Warrior hero as the tank.
The key is using corners to control aggro and protect your casters. Once you have aggro let the minions go and they should continue to body block as you go after the casters.
If you are not playing tank it is a little harder but using a bow to pull and your minions as a wall still works well.
The true test of any technology is its ability to obtain porn.

I might as well show what I heroes and hench I was vanquishing with as well...
Always:
Usually
- 3 heroes: Tahlkora as Shield of Regen/Life Sheath prot, Olias as sabway MM and Sousuke as SF
- 4 henchmen: Healer, necro, eles
And when with people:
- Other player: Derv/ele/warrior are the ones I vanquished several places with
- 6 heroes: 2 or 3 Sabway necros, WoH healer (if we didn't bring sabway healer), Life Sheath prot, 2 SF eles
Builds:
- Life Sheath prot: OwYS8YIPzk76YsespRGBE0I
- SF: OgBCoMzDdbs208FADkBuQAA (didn't always use Mark of Rodgort)
- WoH healer: OwAUA5G7g3MakMyG5uBAm+ba0I
- Sabway SS: OAhCY8xTeQoZH2DlhdXVN5C
- Sabway MM: OANDUslfOL1qAeANUPCIVVBA
- Sabway Healer: OAhiYwh8gtJeSzJ3wccWVTuA

The three necro build is actually pretty good almost everywhere. You just gotta keep in mind that places will be different and that vs heavy spell casters it's slightly weak. When I run with a different person, now I run a total of 4 necro heroes, 1 paragon hero and one monk hero. Corps-less areas get the MM removed and the 4th necro swapped to a second curses guy, and usually some variant of a random damage dealing character moved in place of the 4th necro.
I can post builds later, but I forgot what they are. They're meant to be played with someone on some high damage dealing character (you could go ursan I guess) and you basically just do whatever you want and stuff dies.
If I'm running by myself, I take 3 necros with foul feast and infuse condition on the MM. The Curses guy has splinter weapon, and the WoR healer has WoR removed in favor of Pure was Li Ming and some other random elite depending on whatever I want to do.
Then in a 8 man area by myself, this is the order I select my heroes:
Fire Hench
Prot Hench
Paragon Hench
Mesmer Hench
Heal Hench
Necro Hench
Specific to nightfall, you have to take certain heroes into certain missions, Koss and Meloni come to mind. I think that with Meloni I ended up replacing the curses guy and running meloni as an ebon dust aura D/P.
Koss wasn't so lucky, I just kinda gave him some random W/E build with grasping earth and some sword skills. But I was too lazy to buy him a max sword and shield (he still has starter stuff) and he just got to run around and do nothing. Or apply bleeding to one target at a time or something bad and dumb.

LMAO, Poor Koss. Can't say mine would do much better though LOL Never leveled a War very high so don't have to many skills unlocked for them >.>
Guess I could just unlock them with my Necro.
I have not gotten Livia yet, keep getting pwned on my to the Gate with H/H >.<;
But lately I have been running a lot with Olias as MM and MoW as BiP and it has worked decent so far. Really need to spend time working on my Heroes a bit though ~,~;
