I would go with secondary monk if I were you :)
For the second expansion, I would go with Nightfall. Very nice storyline :)

Nightfall, plus it comes with Heroes, although not everyone likes them, if you find yourself at a silent moment and with sleeping guildies, they can help alot.
And yeah, stick with what Skittle suggested.

You should go W/E for hamstring and firestorm. And don't forget your frenzy+heal sig combo.

Frenzy+Healsig...i dont get it wouldnt that make you take alot of damage?
also i dont know what hamstorm is but i was thinking about going elementalist as my second job that way if im up attacking people with alot of armor i can use eles magic to obliterate them all also i was looking at the box and it shows this warrior attacking a freaky dragon thing and i like his skills alot i might try to use that

Yes, but those weakling monks feel inadequate unless you are taking large amounts of damage for them to heal. You gotta be a team player in this game! ;-)

First of all, do NOT bring Frenzy + Healing Signet.
Frenzy makes you take double damage, and healing signet takes away 40 armor witch makes you take quadruple damage when combined.
Second, I wouldn't go /E. Go ranger or monk. Of course it doesn't really matter until later in the game.

People wont expect you to heal... unless they are new as well.
Then go ranger if you still don't want to go monk. You can get a shiny pet and get Apply Poison later on.

This is a bad idea.
In all seriousness, get Rush as soon as you can, and practice cancelling Frenzy with Rush. If you can't get comfortable with that, I'd suggest /R for Tiger's Fury. If you can, I'd suggest /E for Shock or /Me for Hex Breaker and/or Power Spike.

Just take monk with the warrior combination, and Megido is just being sarcastic, ignore him, PvE leaves a bad taste in his mouth.
Just take monk, no-one will expect you to heal as W/Mo's amount to 50% of the entire Guild Wars community. Welcome to the Club.

Note that he is new and PvE only as of now. What you are saying is for more experienced players and some skills are later in the game.
Nonetheless, good advice.

Either way, Frenzy is still the most efficient IAS in the game. He might as well learn to use it sooner or later. Tbh, I have no idea where you get skills from, I'd suggest making a pvp character, walking outside into the isle of the nameless and doing the training arenas to get enough faction to unlock Rush so that you can buy it as soon as you get to the first skill trainer.

True.
I use the Frenzy + rush combo.
Sometimes Sprint instead.

dont listen to those guys.... this is their idea of hazing ^^
yes, frenzy + healsig is bad, and warriors dont have the energy to cast many elementalist spells. stick to w/mo, or w/e with only shcok from air magic

Apply Poison on a warrior is the worst suggestion in this thread - including my sarcastic suggestion.

Expalin yourself.
In pve you fight large mobs of ai.
They group up.
When you combine that skill with something like cyclone axe
you spread a condition to a large number of foes which will either slowly kill them or force their monks to waste their energy to get rid of it.

people argue too much here
and if warriors dont have energy for elementalist spells why would i have energy for apply poision it costs 15 energy and i only have 20 unless i use one of those things in my shield spot that gives me more energy

I'd say play the game first. Experience it first hand then ask questions and try other professions as well. And yeah, people argue here all the time.
PvP should stick with PvP and shouldn't be arguing with experienced PvE-ers about PvE. It's just annoying and frustrated as seeing a noob PvE-er in your team in RA. Example: a W/Mo weilding fiery dragon sword.
