hey all i just made a new dervish and was wondering what a good 2nd profession would be as i am new to being a dervish much appreciated if you could help

Well I have D/Mo since monk has a lot of enchantment skills too. She's not my best char, so there might be a better combo =P

warrior - wild blow :)
ranger - apply poison etc.
monk - more enchs
necro - plague touch stuff like tht lol
paragon - shouts to do more damage maybe?
sin - deaths charge for spiking :D
ele - tend to use air for good speed boosts but toerh than tht duno
mesmer - mantra's
rit - weapon spells :D
duno if thts any help ^^

First off I'm talking pve here
Splinter weapon :D Rit is a good one has a number of res skills sight beyond sight comes in handy from time to time.
Deaths charge can be fun with sin, as a secondary also allot of good stances umm smoke powder defence is quite nice.
Not sure about paragon but go for the eyes might be nice
War, well mele is mele at the end of the day so numbers wont matter with distracting skills nice new eye of the north skill I forget the name works in conjunction with cracked armor. meh looks like a fools choice, but it does damage I'm willing to wait 5 seconds longer for that. A few secondary skills are going to be as good as they would be on a warrior.

I never use second professions for my characters, both pve and pvp.

I'd go /W for wild blow and rush, wild blow owns on a derv and with all the adrenaline you are getting rush can be used to chase down fleeing foes. This is both for PvE and PvP
