Binds to Build Teams With
Arguably the best xp in the game is found on a full team. However, if you’ve ever led a team you know how much work it is to constantly keep your team full. In fact, a leader who can’t keep his/her team full will soon not have a team.
If you’re like me, keeping a team together can really be a pain in the butt. I found myself constantly typing the same things to ask people politely if they were interested in teaming (it seems blind invites are rude). I want to play the game, not type invites after every mission while the team I do have patiently waits on me, its fearless leader, to find new members.
To solve my dilemma I turned to three binds that work very well. I use them on every toon I create and have not been disappointed. They let me quickly find members for my team. Here is how they work:
First is the BROADCAST bind. This bind is used when I simply want to tell the world that I’m looking for a team. I bind it to shift+numpad1.
/bind shift+numpad1 “yell Level $level $archetype LFT, pst”
This will yield something like:
“Level 12 Controller LFT, pst”
For those of you who have played with binds much, the $level will always yield your current level. Handy.
Next, is the JOIN MY TEAM bind. This bind is used when I am looking for someone to join my team (politely):. I bind it to shift+numpad2
/bind shift+numpad2 “/tell $target, U wanna join a $level –ish team for misns?”
This will yield something like:
“U wanna join a 12 –ish team for misns?”
Obviously, to use this bind you have to have a toon targeted. The easiest place to do this is in the team “Find” menu. I typically search for the level that I’m looking for, highlight and then shift+numpad2 all the way down the list. You’ll quickly fill up your team in this manner.
Finally, is the MAY I JOIN YOUR TEAM bind. This bind is used when I search the “Find” team menu and notice that most everyone is on a team already. Since they can’t join me, I’ll join them. I bind this to shift+numpad3.
/bind shift+numpad3 “/tell $target, U interested in a $level $archetype joining ur team?”
This will yield something like:
“U interested in a 12 Controller joining ur team?”
These binds never fail in saving me time. They seldom fail in filling a team. The only time that I have failed to fill a team with them is when I play at off hours and there are few peeps to chose from online.
Additionally, it prevents me from sending blind invites, which for some reason really tick some people off.
There is no real reason to choose the Numpad(x) keys except they are handy to me. If other keys work best for you, then obviously, use the keys that work best for you.

I don't like teams who always try to be a "full team" ad all cost.
Inviting almost anybody just to fill up the team.
That are really bad PuGs.
I'm listening to real music.
Real Rock, real Gothic, real Rap, real Soul, real Funk...etc

Another good method to use if this bind things just confuses you is instead of typing the "interested in a level_ mission team?" over and over and over and over again.
You can type "/t $target, Interested in joing a level_ Team?"
And just hit enter up (which will bring you to the last thing you said.) And select the next person on the find list and press enter again.
This will resend the tell to the next player.
(send tell,select next character,enter,up, enter,repeat)
Just another method if join cant the hang of binds. Happy Hunting

Very helpful suggestions. Perhaps I really should get on that to-bind list...
Big Chill is a conscranker: he conrols a mob so they do nothing, scraps a target till they can't stand, and tanks what's left till the job's done.
Dive in, have fun, and think about it later.
