Willpower?

I was thinking about makeing a EM/Willpower stalker for the new Gameamp v.g. on freedom. Has anyone used Willpower yet and if so is it a good set for stalkers? If not i might just make a EM/Willpower brute.

I have a lvl 50 em/wp brute. I don't have a em/wp stalker for this reason...the main 2 powers that I like in as a brute, (Rise to the Challenge and Quick Recovery) doesn't exist in the stalker build. So the balance seems to be off to me. EM is very endurance heavy and a brute's WP evens that out with Quick Recovery.

Now I never ran with a em/wp stalker so maybe I could be proven wrong, but on the brutes end I will say that this is a good combo. Not a farming toon, not THE best PvP, but in terms of an overall, covering most areas, this toon just might be the best. WP has just as much if not the most protection to PSI. (res and def) Coupled with the fitness pool, health and stamina are not a problem. It's tier 9 power Strength of Will's crash effect is very minor. (end drops have way...that's it. But with stamina and QR, so what)

If you plan on PvPing I would get Aid Self. WP is best when a mob surrounds you, so you want protection against burst damage.

thanks jerm even though i wanted to try out the stalker build u did raise a really good point with the quick recov and stamina to the tier 9 power. humm so many options to pick from :)

I don't know anything about EM. But I have a willpower stalker, and I like it a lot. She has a very good survivability. The heal power (I am bad at names) has a very short down time. You can pretty much use it on every group. Which means you can scrap your way through almost any mission. To me willpower is probably the most ideal stalker secondary around. But I don't pvp, so maybe there are drawbacks there.

En/Wp is actually a great PvP toon and a good PvE one too. Regen has better heals, but WP has one huge advantage. It can walk through Repel and Fear with no inspirations so those people who rely on TK or Force Bubble are screwed. Add in Recon ,and a non crashing tier 9, and you have solid competition for the best PvP stalker set.

/Wp stalkers are suprisingly... decent, as i really see it it seems WP is a little bit of a hybrid and in PvE it fares rather nicely, although for PvP it still isnt my favorite

Willpower has
a decent non crashing tier 9
a perception for stalker hunting in warburg
an auto DP wanna be
and reconstruction
as well as some nice res and def pers in there

Regen
Supreme regen rate
1 heal
1 Dull pain
and the crown of the set, instant healing, which is nearly god mode against anything BUT Spike damage

Ninjutsu
Supreme tier 9
great defense
a reliable heal
click status res
a bag of tricks

the only thing ive found with WP is that from lvl 1 to 10 was somewhat hard. MInd OVer Body does open tell 10. i should have got, cant remember the name, the always on power that you can add redux and heal to. I only had my hide for defence and it was alittle tough.

oh and is barrage a power i could skip or should i take it. right now im doing fine with Assasins Strike energy punch and Bonesmasher.
