I am currently not sure if I should buy world of warcraft. for $12-15 a month?
And when i first buy it do i have to pick how I'm going to pay for it (month,3,12) before or after the 1 month free?
Could you pplllleeeaaassseee tell me the goods and bads about the game, is it worth it, and what is a fun class/race.

Well I would say probably everyone will say yes, it is worth it, after all you are at a fan site.
My advice is go try it out, you can try the 10-day free trial, here's a link.

well, if you have time to devote to the game, yes. On the other hand, if you won't be able to play it very often, no.

$15 a month: Do you have a job? If yes, $15 a month is nothing. If no, then it may be a minor irritation.
Purchase and monthly: You don't have to pick when you buy it. Easiest way to pay the monthly is to visit a retailer and buy a 3-month Game Card. Otherwise you can pay via Credit Card online at worldofwarcraft.com.
To be honest, I can't tell you anything about whether you would like the game or not, or what would be a fun class. The reason being is I have no idea what you like.
So for myself:
I like the game because it's fairly complex and personal. There is so much you can do to benefit your playing, and you can play it how you like.
The bad things are: the servers are down sometimes, but not as frequently as anti-wow people would have you believe. Getting killed by opposing players 10-60 levels above you is no fun (though you can choose to play in a server that doesn't allow that, but it doesn't allow pvp on equal terms either).
So far, my favorite class is Rogue, though I'm an Alt-aholic, a term meaning I switch between my chars frequently. Race doesn't really mean much other than certain inherent stats or abilities. It all depends on the class you want.
My advice, go to worldofwarcraft.com and try the 10-day trial. From that, decide if you want to continue playing and purchase the whole thing.

I am a fan of the game because you can interact with other people. me, i am not a fan of too many one player games, but world of warcraft is so expansive, that you can play it any way you want. even if you don't play addictingly, i would say it is worth it. as for what character or class to play, it depends on you. I like my night elf hunter, but i also enjoy my orc warlock. I don't know what you would like.

It's a very very polished game. Worth every bit of the money you'll pay to play it.

The complexities and facets of the game give you an almost endless list of things to do in the big picture.
But many of those things like crafting and such will require a lot of repedative actions like mining, herbing, skinning that must be performed to make those endless possibilities fruitfull.
To be sure it takes a lot of in game hours to fully enjoy the aspects of the game but that's built in for a reason. Were you to see it all and do it all in 12 months you'd close your account out at the end of that year.
You should evaluate how much time you really want to put into it. Me, I run primarily on Tuesday nights, then Friday Saturday and Sunday evenings with fairly good regularity and have a fairly well geared out Warlock, but few well developed alts.
You'll get out of it what you put into it.
As for the debate over what character is the most fun to play. That's as personal as what your favorite ice cream, color or football team is. Everybody has reasons why they like their character. Me, I love my Warlock because she's one ugly, evil, be-yoch that'll melt your face off as soon as look at you. But that's just me......

Everyone's styles are different.
IMO, get the trial. Check it out for 10 days. If you like it, drop the money and buy it. Do the "month to month" until you're sure it's something you'll stick to.

well, first look and see if you could devote enough time to play such a game, and if you can great!, i guess it is worth it if you are really going to be playing longer than an hour a day, but it isn't worth it id it gets in the way of work and/or school work
thats just what i think :P
