Just wanted to let out some of the stress in my head by describing it on here =) Basicly I'm Knackered, ill and bogged down with an unbeleavable amount of A level ICT coursework..
Not only am I sick with flu but today I've had to produce a (so far) 48 page report for my applied ICT A level, it's verging on 9400 words now and my brain can't take much more! The worst thing is it's like this every dam week, I've been at college since mid September, so around 5 months now, and I've submitted a wad of coursework over 2 foot thick, and thats no lie xD. Its literaly like 40 pages a week plus I've got Math, Physics and Business Studies work to deal with...and my brain now officialy hurts.
Still I'm getting top marks in it so I guess it's worth it. I know I'm not the only one who has it hard and I'm sure a lot of people have worse, but just wanted to let it out a bit ^^
Anyway I'm finished for tonight (Hurrah) so it's off to sleep / play the new Advance Wars for DS ^^

Thats a ton of work..what exactly are you going to school for? I'll try not major in that when i got to college. I wanna go for networking or some sort of IT or something hands on involving repairing computers and stuff.

If you mean what am I planning to go into when I'm older I hope to go into freelance graphic design work perhaps working in advertising etc. I love drawing and illustrating and i don't know if you seen any of my artworks I've submitted but combining that with computer work is what Ilike ^^ I have a lot of family friends who are in that proffession who have given me advice and I've done a lot of work experiance with them :)
Still I'm 16 now so I've got some time to think, I've also been asked to redesign one of Londons borough websites soon, I also do a lot of leaflet / flyer design for local companies so I've already got some experiance in with the field :)

I thought you where doing in circuit testing something I used to do but bah they just chucked in communication to confuse me :(. Well good luck your probably passed the point I got to when I was in university. we had a computer part to our course (I failed).

The work I've been doing on this current unit (each unit lasts about 7 weeks) has been on a fictional Disney land UK park. Basicly each week I've had to design a different business document for the company, e.g a flyer, logo, business letter, presentation, website etc. I then have to do as I've already said about 40-50 pages of work with it, including draft designs, research, final designs, tons of evaluation work + more.
Heres an example of a fictional leaflet I have made, I did it all from scratch, including the logo, on Paint Shop Pro with the only borrowed work being the photographs of the rides and the map which was part adapted part new. :) remember this would be folded when printed ;)

Hmm im actually taking some sort of class in school called graphics1 and graphics 2 the 2nd half of the year where we do stuff on Adobe Illustrator.

I did Graphic Design as one of my GCSE courses last year, above is some of the work i produced :)
Again I did it all from scratch using Paint Shop Pro, with the main drawing being hand drawn.
I've become a lot more attuned to Paint shop and Photoshop work since then and can produce a wider range of things now :)

What school year are you in?
I always found school boring (other than being with friends of course) but once I got to college it became a completely different story, I enjoy going each day, even though it's a hell of a lot of work and i have to get up at 5:40 am each day :) It's just such a nice atmosphere and I know pretty much all the 850 students that go to it ^^
Plus it's absolutely jokes when I have free periods we get up to the funniest of stuff lol. It's my holiday next week so I'm taking some time with 2 of my best mates to relax ^^ Should mainly consist of not being able to walk due ot alcohol consumption + trying to desperatly play 4 player Wii games while giggling like a little girl ^^
Last time we ended up walking 34 miles and ending up on the motorway while very cut from climbing barbed wire fences + holding mysterious golf flags who's source was unknown. God that morning after was not fun.

EDIT: OK, I re-read your post on the Disneyland stuff. I guess this has already been submitted for marks - I withdraw my "picky" proofreading... sorry.

Let's face it, school is actually quite fun ^_^
Sounds like you are doing a lot extra though just for being a graphic designer, I never realized it was that much work. Just keep it up though, you're going to get paid for it later!
