Hello,
I am looking for a guild. I just recently gave up the guild that I was the leader of to set out on new adventures.
So what am I looking for???
Well I would like a guild that has a strong base. A guild that respects all and excepts all to be respectful. I want a guild that when I pop in the chat and say "Good Morning" it gets a warm welcoming answer. I want a guild that is willing to help as well as appreciates the help that is given. I want a guild that has room for growth and sees good deeds as something thats helps the whole unit grow. I want a guild that has time for its members and never turns away one of its own for selfish reasons.
What I don't want???
I don't want a guild that says "yes we are a helpful guild" just to get me in, I won't stay long. I don't want a guild that looks down on those that have less game time/experience then you do. I don't want a guild that prides its self on the great things it has done and has to throw it around in the face of every person they meet.
So who is bowsaway???
I have been playing Guild Wars for about two years (/age returns 23 months). I have always been as helpful as I can and try to uphold myself in a manner that is respectful.
I find myself nowadays being frustrated and lacking in my ability to maintain any kind of focus in game. You may ask why? A lot of my characters have made it to a point in the game where doing things alone is not a option. So lately it's been about farming and PVP. I've been in and out of many guilds in my time on GW and have to say that every one I have been in has been a disappointment. No one has time to say hi, or you interject some helpful chat and no one notices. Then one day your name comes up and everyone in the guild says "we don't know him" LOL, chances are you would if you would take some time!
What point in the game are you???
I have not completed any of the games (hard to do alone). I have all three games. So am I a newb? I would say no. Am I a advanced player? I would say not, somewhere in the middle. I feel my inability to play the game with good players has hindered my ability to become "good". I have a Me/N that is in Hell and can't finish and other lvl 20 chars that just simply have lost the ambition alone.
Who am I as a person???
I am a 33 y/o man from Kentucky (some people see my age and say WOW??? Am I to old to game??? lol). I work on computers and they are my hobby. I am married and have three kids and my family is the world to me. I am really a deep thinker and tend to think "outside the box" so sometimes my ideas are good and can help.
That's bout it! Sorry to have written a book but I feel that getting these things in the open are important for my sake and yours as well. If your guild does not meet the things I have posted above please don't waste your time or mine!

You sound great but i refrain from sending an invite cause simply put; the timezones will be awful.
Seriously though, this is one of the best laid out & explained ''LF Guild'' posts ever, you know what you want and are looking for, and you also tell off all those ''join us, we need moar numb3rz'' guilds.
I wish you Good Luck in whatever guild you end up, if its anything like you mentioned, it will be a good guild ;)

My guild is probably too small for you. And sometimes myself and the few guildies are on alot, other times, not so much. My guild just got into an alliance with 3 other guilds. Some of them PvP.
HERE is my recruitment page..I might spruce it up some..not sure.

having had a good long read and re-read thinking about this over some porkchops... drank a gin and coke, thought some more am still thinking.... pouring another gin and coke. i would recomend... wait a sec gotta add more gin. You sir need to join one of the following three guilds (ive been in many more and recomend many more depends on what you are). I recomend game amp guides, hugs and mutants.
Hugs as the name suggests is a friendly guild and they are always willing to poke out a branch and they are loyal little devils and as mad as a bag of ice imps a breed apart I got respect for them.

I think that everyone has to sign that means allot I still live by it and it pretty much has what your looking for.
mutants = legend they probably wont admit to this but I was in mu for a while and I enjoyed it You get yourself some pretty impressive people but they wont tell you that.
or... You can join happy place but its just me and this guy who argues with his wife and only shows up twice a week. He is a lvl 6 ranger and for want of any other members I made him an officer. but don't expect the same treatment! hmm half my gin is gone :S

I have an ex wife and 3 kids. So there is still hope for you to add the ex to that wife part. Don't give up hope! LOL!!!!
Seriously, very nice post. Well thought out and shows you are a good gamer and person. I don't get into the whole "guild thing". I am in one, its mostly adults, but we aren't into much. Just playing and chatting for fun to relax. if you're interested give me a PM and we can talk. If not, the guild you find will be lucky to have you.

I've been thinking about Mutants for awhile now as well. Current guild isn't active at all, and I like the idea of guild-grouping for high end areas (still have never cleared UW or FoW after 2.5 years). I'll whisper Trib as soon as he sets himself back Online (Away ftl), lol. I think they have a guy already in his two week trial period though...
Don't know if my time period will work well with them though. I play mostly Pacific time in the evenings...
But to the OP, I'd suggest Amp or Hugs as well (both in same alliance last I looked). I was in Amp ages ago, and its a great helpful place. Dunno much about Hugs though, but I've heard they're good.

WOW.. Thanks for the replies!
I have looked at some of the suggestions and AMP looks great. I think [HUGS] or [AMP] would be the choice for me. I have also looked over Mutants and some of the places they frequent I have never heard of....LOL.

Another player from Kentucky!
Let me tell you a bit about Knights and Heros. The guild has been around (with the same Leader) since the start. I've been in the guild for almost as long as have most of the core membership. We are are a pve guild (a few do some pvp and do have a pvp guild in the alliance.) The guild focus is having fun playing the game. There are few rules, no requirements other than be active and be courteous.
Most of us have beaten the games on several characters, but we never hesitate to help others as needed, anywhere in the game. Most days and nights there is many members online, so finding a group to help you, or help them is usually easy.
We have our own website, forums (my signature is a link), and vent server. Feel free to take a look.
If it sounds like something you might be interested in, feel free to PM me here or ingame, IGN - Faith Pilearstad. Even if it doesn't sound like smething you want to join, if you need a hand somewhere, PM me for that also, just don' ask for hand outs, runs, money, etc.
