I loved it, graphical and everything, now if you can rate the Xbox version please... 1-10, I give it a 10.. for graphics and a good scare factor, so scary it got enjoyable!:) Please rate and talk about it here
Killing several CyberDemons with a pistol... with low health and ammo... only doom3 can bring..

I also like the fact that you don't sit upright most of the time like with a comp, you can just lay back on the couch, your hands carressing the smooth controller, and you just drift off into the game...

yeh, doom 3 4 xbox rox, plus the controllers r so ergonomic, plus like, the limited edition has heeps of stuff in it, but r they the exact games???

each way has it's own advantages
a high end PC blows xbox away for graphics, sound, and a PC monitor can hit resolutions a TV can't (we are talking about 640x480 on a tv, vs 1600x1200 on a PC). There is no way around the fact that a good PC makes a console on an HD TV look like garbage. The down side is that all this horse power costs a fair amount (a couple grand for the box, and several hundred for the monitor). So it's a bit of a debate on which is better. Though the rule of thumb is PC > console.
The second issue is contoler vs mouse + keyboard. And this is a huge one. The thing is that controlers are NOT good input options for high end gaming. Fighting games need joysticks arcade style, racing games need a wheel, fighter games need a flight joystick, and FPS games need mouse + keyboard. A gamepad is really only ideal for a side scrolling game ala mario, or an rpg ala Final fantasy... at the end of the day other input options dominate the gamepad and show it's true faults.
To make matters even more confusing..... My PC I can hook up to my hdtv, and play wireless via mouse, or via gamepad :)
In the end it's just how much money you want to throw at the game. But if you have the cash, and want to use the ideal control setup (ie competitive play for cash) you are going to end up on a pc.

Doom 3 for xbox is the only way I would have it. I would rather lay down and relax instead of sitting upright in a chair.

one of my friends said he tried doom3 on an xbox and it lagged sometimes...like when he got his flashlight out it would take 3 seconds before it actually came up.

He might have one of the old thompson-drive (I think that's what they're called) xboxs, because when I used my old thompson xbox, not the new one (the thompson was going bad, so we got a new one, but keep the thompson around), it was lagging like crazy! I would blast a zombie in the face with a shotgun, and like, a second later it'll explode. Pinkys were a major problem with this also.

Haha, sounds like you like to get pretty sensual with your games. ;)
Because my PC isn't pimped out enough to run Doom3 decently, I grabbed it's Xbox counterpart.
Apparently alot was cut for the Xbox version (alot of good scary bits, like the "Where's my baby?" type bit) which was a bit dissapointing, not to mention there's a bit of slow-down throughout.
But regardless, you can still get alot out of it.

Doom 3 for Xbox isn't all that bad. I don't know what it is about Computer monitors but it makes your Eyes get really sore if you dont have any lights on while your'e playing it. It happens to me & nearly everyone who plays Doom3 on PC that I know while it doesnt Happen all that much on a Television screen with an Xbox.
& The Graphics are a lot more consistant than on PC, where the more you spend the Better quality Graphics You get. While you buy a console & the Game & your'e set up with brilliant consistant Grahpics.

Hey just saying that when I played Doom 3 for xbox just a few months ago I thought it was killer. It exceded my expectations as far as graphics, gameplay, sound...ect.
It rocked being surprised when I least expected it. This game rocks!!! I haven't played it for the pc yet but I'm going to cause I can do more stuff like make music videos for the game. Then I'll post them up here and you guys can tell me what you think of them.
After I post them up I hope you guys can reply to me if you like them or if I can do anything better or anything.
I'll keep you guys up-to-date when I post them.

As far as xbox being a platform to transition D3 to, it's the best console to do it as far as not losing any effect from the PC(graphics,sound,etc.) But one thing troubles me....
I have played the PC version a little and found enemies such as the flaming zombie but I did not see it in the same place on my xbox as on the PC, in fact I'm at the beginning of Delta 2 and havn't run across any flaming zombies. I hope this doesn't mean the xbox version left out other stuff too....Do any of you notice this or am I just on something?

i have to admit that i love the way pc games look but for doom 3 i have to say ide go with xbox. i can get into the game more. i have it both on pc and xbox. when i play on my pc im always not paying attention to the game rather to my keyboard. i will say that it is hard to have lan partys with the xbox tho be cause ever body needs there own tv to play with pc's everybody has a monitor so thats easier. but with xbox you can get lost in the game.

I have doom 3 for the PC and Xbox and it feels better on the pc and looks better on the pc and is better on the pc but it is good on the Xbox so 9.5 PC and 9.0 Xbox
