Ok, everytime i try to click on the server "triumph" i somehow crash out of no where! This is my 3rd try, my first 2 was when i had an alt on the first list, and my main on the second. And Every time i want to get on my main, it freezes then crashes, now, that i deleted the first alt, i had my main on the first list, now its crashing every time i click triumph.
Omg i need help! And it was suppose to be my 1 weekend of from school!!

I don't get it. First list second list? Is it crashing when you click on triumpg or when you load your guy?

So it's after Server selection, but before entering the game for real. As I understand it, your game crashes when you try to select one of your toons.
Some questions:
- Is this limited to Triumph or happens everywhere?
- Are your Toons showing up as animated avatar, black shadow or not at all?
- Are your Toons listed at all?
- Can you create a new Toon or does the game crash then as well.
Depending on the answers the issue may be:
- Fubarred Toon List on your PC. Dumping it and getting it refreshed from the server ought to help. Pretty sure there's a PLAYNC support item on that. Dunno which files at this time, they do though.
- Fubarred shading / vertex settings on your PC. Harder to troubleshoot as CoX only allows you to reset that in-game and i dunno where the file is located. Removing it should revert to defaults though. Again, PLAYNC support has a support item on this.
- Fubarred graphics driver. You might do a check-up on how up to date it really is and force an update to newest non-beta version anyway.
For kicks, also run a hard disk scan for corrupted data e.t.c. It'd be just "great" to have a corrupted cylinder right there where CoX keeps trying to write and read your Toon's data and not knowing this due to lack of PC maintenance.

Try Safe Mode. On the "Updater" screen, check the Safe Mode box and launch.
If that WORKS, update your video drivers.
If it's still crapping out after that, lower settings ingame. Maybe switch to Windowed Mode if you're not there already.

Ok, definitely Video-card issue then.
Unless you can actually play normally on say a Pinnacle Toon, or a Freedom one?

You sound like tech support Iani, all good advice and very confusing words.
I'm going with RonJ73's all purpose solution, update drivers. For hoe simple it is, it does fix the problem most of the time.

Occupational hazard I guess.
What words were confusing though?
I don't think I used any one doesn't learn about in first grade computer shop, in the Netherlands at least :-)
And while updating drivers does work often, it's like the saying about having a big bad hammer and all problems becoming nail-shaped as a result. Besides, CoX has on several occasions run better with outdated drivers rather than the latest.

90% of the time (or thereabouts) when there's a problem with the game hanging or crashing, it's video drivers. It's either outdated or something became corrupted. Believe me or don't, it doesn't matter much to me either way.
His problem is happening when the machine tries to draw the first toon on the list. If it WORKS in safe mode, odds are nearly 100% that it's a graphics issue. Either the drivers are old or his settings are too high, likely the "Character Detail" setting, specifically.

Launch Updater (as you normally would)
In the bottom corner of th updater, check the box that says "Safe Mode".
The graphics will look crappy, but it will give you an idea. Load your Toon.
If it works, your next step is to update your video driver from the manufacturer's website. More than likely this will be the problem.
Relaunch CoH after updating the driver and see if it works. If it's still having a problem, launch CoH and lower the Character Detail settings.
If it doesn't work, you might be looking at a larger problem. Try the above first.
There COULD be an actual problem with the Toon itself. If updating the video driver doesn't work, you will want to open up a ticket with PlayNC support at the following website:

This is what i followed, since no body replied till now...
Since i only crashed when i click the triumph server, i go to another server that i have an alt in. once im loaded, i turn down the graphics down and it allowed me to not crash when i click triumph! so im back in!!
and btw ron, it still crashed

I assume you mean 256MB? How on earth is it even running? I can't play COH on anything less than 512MB. You really need to upgrade the RAM.

Well that causes my lag problem, i should clear some stuff up, but it doesnt fix my crashing problem, right now, i just reinstalled CoH and i wonder if that fixes it, and if it doesnt i dunt know anymore.

I had the same problem when I just bought the game. My system had 512 MB of RAM, but onboard video which meant I really only had 386 MB. I could create characters and even play the tutorial, but the game crashed whenever I tried to advance farther than the tutorial. Tech support told me flat out that I wouldn't be able to play the game without at least 512 MB.
The good news is that the upgrade worked. I actually found a good deal and bought 2 GB worth. After installing it I had no trouble at all playing the game. Actually my whole computing experience has dramatically improved, as regular application windows open up almost instantaneously.
I'm an incurable altoholic, but most recently I've played as these characters:
Abana (hero, Champion), lvl 44 mag tanker, stone/stone/fit
Etain Echraide (hero, Virtue), lvl 21 mag controller, plant/therm
One Man Vs. The Mob (hero, Virtue), lvl 11 sci blaster, nrg/nrg/fly/stealth
Ballplayer Reverend (hero, Champion), lvl 19 nat tanker, will/mace/speed

Yup getting new ram is awesome. Like having a buisy freeway with 2 lanes and then instantly opening up 8 more lanes. Weeeeee!!!

Heck, even when i had 512 MB i could only play through the tutorial, it crashed everywhere else, which is one of the reasons i missed i11's launch on live(the horror)

Ok so i cleared up some stuff and got a lot more space than now, my problem was that and that i run on Quality. so i just have to play with low graphics :(
