regen or inv i11

well i want to roll up a katana/something and i was thinking about regen as it is a old fav but inv looks good too so i got few thing to ask about both.

inv: the toggle Invincibility it draws aggro right? well i dont want un needed aggro so...is inv still worth it without this?

rgn: Mog the most discussed power veer is the new one worth it?
and what about the rez and Resilience?

amyway i wellcome all thoughts, opions, builds etc.

thanks in advance.

Regen.

You'll still have some issues with Alpha Strikes, as most regens do, but it's a good set.

With the Changes to MoG it's actually worth taking now.

City of Heroes/Villains
Onion - L50 - Katana/Super Reflexes/Body Mastery Scrapper
Scotch Bonnet Girl - L50 - Fire Aura/Fire Melee/Pyre Mastery Tanker
RonJ73 - L50 - Stone/Energy Aura Brute
Aurora Australis - L50 - Willpower/Energy Melee Tanker

RE: regen or inv i11

I'm gonna have to go with Ron and vote for Regen. Invuln is great for tanks because the resistance output and defense output are amazing and it comes with a taunt aura. However, scraps lose some of that resistance and defense and don't really need to draw aggro. And as long as you don't try and tank, you shouldn't have to worry about Alpha Strikes

Now Resilience kinda...sucks. But, if you're gonna get Tough and Weave from the fighting set, the extra res can be nice. Other than that, go ahead and skip it. The self rez you should probably go ahead and get. No one plans on dying (I hear that a lot about self rezs) but it happens so might as well have something for it. And I don't really know what changes were made to MoG. I think they lowered the recharge and downgraded the res and def, I think. Not really sure...

Either way, my vote: Regen

Origins don't really have any effect on the type of dmg you do or really anything for that matter. Just a way to help explain your characters backstory. However, with a katana/regen I'd suggest either natural or mutation, just because they fit the style. As for the regen vs. invulnerable idea. Now that I have a 36 invulnerable scrap and a 50 regen scrap... I can safely say regen destroys inv. Its not even a contest. I'm winded and hurt with my inv. by what would barely scratch my regen and to top it off, I have to rest every two or three groups. Granted I'm not fully slotted for end redux, but I am fully slotted for resists and its not what I'd hoped it would be. Invulnerable is great for tanks, not for scraps though. The new MoG is great by the way... very handy and definitely mitigates those alpha strikes.
