well since people are starting to get annoyed by this site. all teh bad goins on and topics gettin less and less guildwars related @__@. and all the people complainin how GW has changed. woo scary :P
i decided to add this nice little topic where you can post yuor fondest memories of GW or this site ^^ yaaaay!
my fondest memories are
1) my time with my first major guild Warriors of Defiance.
the people there were amazing and we had adventures and a fun little scanddle forum where we took mad screenshots and made stroys from them.
it was amazin fun. could do something like that here.
put a few people in charge of the topic.
and 2) was when i started GW back in 2006. right in the middle of a wintersday expansion for taiwan. they had funny internets stuff. and everyone was all wintery and helped me out. awwwwww love.
so go on post your fondest memories here. itll help us get to know eachother a bit more too.

The fondest memory i have, is during Wintersday, my account went active somewhere in the days before New Year.
Pre-searing was fun, short, but fun, didnt have a clue what to do. And arriving in Ascalon, the cut-scene said it was burning, but seeing it snow instead, only made it more strange and confusing.
But i learned the game thanks to 2 buddies, one from Belgium and one from Australia, no matter how far you can be apart, the way we helped eachother is truly a gaming friendship.
Its that memory i remember the most, the fact i met friends who helped me, and in return i helped them, is an experience and memory no offline-RPG can give you.

You ya little fuzzy fella and that yellow sig ya had.
Made me smile, you still make me smile. Yeah its all getting a bit morose around here. That and umm happy memory when I meet someone who doesn't have a clue whats going on just skipped the cutscene... what's going on :S can anyone help? Makes me feel like a superhero maybe I'm not but answering a simple question has a similar effect to answering a more difficult one.

I think for me, the greatest memories I've had with Guild Wars were a result of joining up with my Guild. A great bunch of people, who turned out to be friends. I think they're the reason I'm still playing the game and haven't moved on to something new.

The first time I went post searing and my original guild(in sig) mates were getting me to Grenditch I kept seeing the warrior in our party with the speech bubble above his head; Watch Yourself! Now I thought it was pretty funny the first time we made aggro but sometime in The Breach it was really getting old. I promptly told him that it was getting annoying and asked if he would stop saying that. My guildies enlightened me that this is an example of a shout Odin. It wasn't long after that that I made a warrior(Wammo) and graduated some of those newb basics. Atleast I can laugh about it now.

my fondest memorie is when i first join We want More [HUGS] (the first guild that i had been in that talked alot in G-chat) then watching the guild grow small and inactive then getting promoted to officer and helping the new leader build the guild up to what it is now and then joining the AMP Alliance.

when ascalon arena had high lvl ppl that u could talk to and they would boast to the low lvl's that they had 1.5k armor(it was 1.5k a piece back then). I went there today cuz I haven't been there in a while, there was like 3 people.
quit gw for good. end of story.

Betting against my friend that War Machine would one day defeat The Last Pride for GvG Championship.
Also, realising what Expertise in Ranger was for... I never quite understand in the beginning how you could have 10energy attacks and such low base energy =]

Best memorie...hmm,
When I joined my current guild, The Royal Rose..about 15 months ago..it was full of people who did just AB.
Great times...the synching with 3 full ROSE teams and blowing the kurzicks back to their dark forests >_<
(I know..many of you are kurz, so what^^)

Fond memories:
- The get the site updated contest.
- The GW vs RL contest(s)
- Getting a team wiped because Apoletta and me bumped into a patrol while trying to find the perfect angle for a shot of a certain waterfall in Southern Shiverpeaks...
- Helping people through Thunderhead Keep with an AMP team that knew how to work together.

Ok my best memory was being a noob. This sounds odd, but it was so great to have no worries about "need to get armor, but have to farm etc etc). And it was also a time where everybody was kinda noob!
I used to run a build on my warrior that looked a bit like this:
1. Frenzy
2. Heal Sig (not a joke)
3. Sprint
4. Endure Pain
5. The axe skill that inflicts deep wound. (not elite)
6. Cyclone Axe
7. Healing Breeze (ofcourse)
8. Resurect
Again, this is no joke I have a screenshot to proove it!
I also remember when I thought pre-searing was the entire map. And I actualy thought it was pretty big! Than I got into the real world and was disapointed by the looks of Ascalon.
Lucky I had help from a ranger that gave me some stuff to buy my first armor.
Learned a lot after that and I must say I like the old GW better than the new one, but I wouldn't give up all my stuff etc. to go back and do it again =]

when faction got realeased we were running all over shingjea with our warrior getitng colelctor shingjea armor and farming weapon for our ''noob kit'' then we raped some bloodspike group in team arena XD

Awesome thread, and timely, as I was just sifting through my screenshots folder the other day.
Most of my fond memories were groups with AMP (just joined a guild that feels a lot like it, actually, lol).
I did find a few screenshots from back when Rogue and I were going for Legendary Survivor. I made it, but he didn't (on that character), so I let him kill my LS in a 1v1. Still had some screens of that one.

ehhh no big deal.. why would that be a joke?, you had a cancel for frenzy and deepwound...some self heal and tanking, that build aint funny tbh if you think about it ;)
anyways, the best memories i had in gw was when i had been fighting myself through tyria storyline and every single quest with my uber leet wammo that had some weird 500 gold armor dyed in rainbow colours and a very messed up bar :) the sense of exploring everything and not having to worry about all the things in future as you wouldn't know what you were going to encounter...was just.. a nice relaxed and excited feeling! :)

It is cus I didn't use it to cancel stance with =P And it has no elite (ofc). But my first elit was charge wich was pretty 1337!
