LOL put the blame on the monk(s)

well im jut tired in pve when theres always that ONE person who doesnt know what their doing, dies screams at the monk... ive had some blonde moments monking but people need to calm down when they die.i mean its not like call of duty 4 and when you die your like "AHHHH BLAHHH BRAHH OMFG OMFG OMFG BS I HAD HAD HIS STUPIDE *** AHHH OMFG HE HAX, HES A HAXOR MOTHER F***er.

Are you referring to in PuG groups? Because I forgot what having a PuG group is like. Oh and everytime I did go in a PuG group the monk was always at fault for us failing. I thought that kanna was the only monk would packed Amity every time as an elite.

-Can't tell you how many times the flamming of the party monk discouraged me from monking in PvE. But don't worry, you will get really good groups too if you don't then call on me if I'm online and I will party with you until you throw up wisconsin cheese curds (it's really impressive when you live like in Yemen, or UAE)

Thats why when i PuG, i play Rit healer not monk... No one ever flames the rit =P

When I Monk in PuGs, I go Offensive since they never ask. :P

But my monk is kinda retired..Though i like Rit Healing better.

Just live with it though..You will always keep those people,in every game.

this brings fond memories. My favorite mission to monk in would be Abbadon's Mouth.

My personal favorite flame i remember was i loaded into the mission and the power went out in my house, reset the fuse and rejoined in less then a minute, they had all run off and got themselves killed at the front gate. Note neither of the sides of the gate had been killed. "OMG you NOOB monk you got us all killed!" then the warrior and other monk left. and then the rest of us pwned the mission and bonus :D (I'm just that good at that mission)

as for people running out of spell range, they usually get watchful spirit on them if im running bonder, if not i always pack heal party.

Lest we forget, Infused armor helps a bunch in that mission. I've actually asked people to show me their armor so i could tell them it wasnt infused. Then its off to the seer hidden in the mission for us.

suggestion for a monk skill
Angelic Wings - energy cost 10 cast 1/4 recharge 20
Teleport to furthest away ally, when that ally is above 90% health teleport back to original location

would be nicknamed the nub catcher by monks :D

tried it in UW with a group awhile back, we got jumped becuz sumone messed up. and our entire was getting owned! we'll we were there for 2 hours i didnt want to restart and im getting pounded on so i run over to a pile of dead party members and go scroll! nothing happened =( i was even standing on a party member. i died 2 seconds later basically i fired a blank =(

I seldom monk PUG a group but when for some reason I find myself monking PUG, I insist on certain type of built for the group, depending where we are or what not. I tell them "well if it fails blame the monks" or "if it fails blame Kanna" if a guild team :)

because lets face it I am not the greatest monk either and got flammed many atime thus why a while back I made a topic "MOnks have feeling too" here on gamamp.

in other word they flame you say oh well and move on just tell the flamming person that eventually "the monk alliance" will hear of his name and refuse to do mission and stuff with him till he L2P

She uses amity. does she use that with fire storm LOL. O wait that is one of thoes famous AB builds that my guildee has seen used in AB.

But back on topic. Most people think that they are gonna live thru the mission or what not with out dying cause they have a monk. But your gona die at least once Be it your fault or the monk didnt have enuff engry to heal you b4 you die

I beg to differ :P but even the greatest of monks cannot save you from yourself.

play smart and you will be fine in my care, however frezy + heal sig on a mesmer is still FTL

When I yell in vent at 23 Minutes that I'm frenzying on the lord, and all we have to do is kill the lord to win, because we wiped the other team already, I expect a prot spirit.

I know this is about PvE, but in PvE monking is basically spam party heals. So I included an instance where I actually told them before hand.

i dont monk in pvp thats where the real flamming begins. last time i tried i got quad teamed by sins and was dead quicker then i could cast a spell

Once in a while it is the monks fault. I have been in some PuG's, on occasion, with some really bad monks. But 90% or more of the time it is usually not the monks fault. You get these morons who think they are unstopable and go rushing in before the group is ready, get their asses kicked, are embarresed by it, so it has to be the monk (and everone else in the group) fault.

Best thing to do is just ignore the critism. We live in a world where nothing is ever our own fault, it is always someone else's. From a 5 year old who by nature is always blameless (I have 1 at that age right now, sometimes its funny to watch him try to wiggle out of trouble) all the way to the leaders of our countries. I just laugh about it.

nobody has ever yelled at me in pve in a pug...probably because i always lead the groups and command people around all the time :p

pugs are my inferiors, if they get cocky = kick, follow orders = stay for next mission

but i'm only so bossy because i don't ever trust pugs, i can already see what somebody's skill level is in pve by their title/skills/way they talk..

why do you guys even PuG anymore... just hero/hench it.

and although generally most pve players have no idea what they are doing... it would also include monks. i would say that it is a 50/50 split on whos at blame for a failed mission or quest... sometimes its a grp, or sometimes you just cant heal / prot. most of the time its a mix of both. If you cant handle it, move on to another profession

so he dies, and then i move on with the mission, i can finish a mission with one noob less ^^

lol, funny, i made most of my friends in GW PUG monking, didn't get yelled at very much and if someone died they'd get an ear full if they blamed me for their death.

crap happens though, as kanna and i found out in dunes... some instances, it doesn't matter who's monking, something on your side is going to die!

we went in that mish, and i was looking after the ghostly hero and kanna was monking the rest of the party doing the bonus. well, the PUG people kept dying in kanna's hands and the ghostly soon was getting ganked and beat down and died, thus ending the mission.

i said, 'screw it, you take the hero, i'll take the group' so we did, and the same thing happened again, just reversed. lol...

anyway, i don't mind PUG monking, but most people that i don't know i don't trust their abilities to not run way up ahead and start kamikazing themselves. i wouldn't mind it if they did die, but when they die without killing something... grrr!

part of being a monk / rt though, peoples lives are in your hands, you're in that party to keep it alive, so i see where some blame can come (say a crappy monk) but if it's crappy non-monks then yea, leave the monk alone, you didn't kill the bad guy before it could kill you so you are to blame, or it's your fault for standing in massive AoE and not moving...! lol.

All lies and jest, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.

Prot spirit because at 23 minutes in, when I'm under frenzy and the guild lord uses cleave it's like 500 damage in one hit.
