Could you kill a person. In cold blood?

Ignoring how undeniably morbid and creepy the title is I am curious.

A little background info would probably help you understand this question. I am in a philosiphy club at my school. Someone came in with a topic about morals and said "Nobody in this room would kill a person just for the sake of killing them." But my friend said: "yeah, i would." (He would, hes a little crazy, and alot cuban - thats not racist, im a cuban too)

I am just wondering if anybody could.

I think i probably could. If i was like, high or drunk.

I don't think i would want to unless they broke in my house and are trying to kill me or my family i would do anything to stop him, or even kill him. And of course even self defense cases can land you in prison with the wonderful justice system these days.

but you have to understand.
It's not that easy. It took me a while to think, and I still came to that conclusion even though i believe nothing in this world is more precious than a human life.

well if someone broke into my house, i don't think that counts as cold blood. But I definitely couldn't, I would have so much guilt with me for the rest of my life. It would be unbearable

There is no doubt to myself that it is Not possible.

Months or even Years of torment by another person can truly twist someone, however, usually before they go in a killing spree, they end their own lives first.

Some people by nature, have a tendency to be far more aggressive then others, as said, a cornered person can make odd decisions.
Killing in cold blood is possible i think, if you find yourself alone with that person.

I'l skip the story, but i once ended up after a small party with some friends in an elevator, frankly, the only guy of the pack who's blood i could drink ended up being the same dum-dum that jumped up and down causing the entire thing to stop, we where stuck for an hour and a half.
Some of us had where mildly drunk, plus it seems that that morning i caught a flu which, by the evening, got me feverish and so on.

So i was already quite edgy, add the fact he had to whine for nearly 60 minutes at me for being a total wuss, etc. etc. (i was relaxed about the situation, just not about his presence filthening the air)
Either way, after 60 minutes i just exploded, i told him three times before to shut it, and he didn't.
Let's say the guy didn't know when someone is serious.
Within a second everything just got blurry and literally blood red, tunnel sight and the lot, and i found myself kicking and pounding a nice fist or two into his face.

Took the other 5 friends to restrain me, 20 minutes later the door got open and we got out, i just went home cause i was terribly sick, the guy later on instead of always being ''im cooler then you'' really sat in corners in class and such, epic.

Point is, that i guess i probably just went on and on until i snapped out of it, which would be.. i dunno, finding a blood covered elevator? :P

I've grown up yes, Puberty has its fun sides, lovely.

Does out of passion count as cold blood? Because I could easily kill someone out of passion if I wouldn't be caught.

The way i hate humanity, i think i could kill just for the adrenaline rush. But id have to be getting paid to do it.

Killing someone for no reason. I don't think I could do that unless I snap for some reason.

I probably could. I have some anger issues, and often resort to extreme violence when I get upset. Thankfully I dont get upset over the slightest things, but if you make severl racist remarks towards me(im dominican) or **** around with my little sister I am liable to explode. Its happened before.

I don't think I could kill just to kill someone. I would have to have a reason. I am not a violent person, but I am Norwegian, Italian, and Czechoslovakian, so I have some stubbornness and a really bad temper.

Actually if I didn't get caught, I could probably now thinking about it. I can tend to get extremely angry, I've gotten suspended from school I think 6 times for fights(2 I didn't start). I also know how to fire a 22 cal rifle and pistol, 12 gauge shotgun with great accuracy. I've also got a black belt in Kung Fu, and Tae Kwon Do(started at 8, do the math). If I hated someone with enough passion I think I could kill them just if I didn't get caught.

Yes

With out a doubt i could easily kill someone. I go through so much bull**** in my life its not funny, and i always try to remain happy. prob is it gets harder and harder, if i had the moment i could very easily kill someone and not face regret later in my life.

it pends on the circumstances, i mean i wouldnt kill a person just cuz i hate them with passion. if someone was threatning me or my loved ones i would kill them even if i got caught

In short term Yes I could, and anyone could do it when pushed to the certain extremes to which that person could take. And even tho I believe killing is wrong, I would do what I can to protect my family and friends from harm.

i'd need to have a reason, so, i guess no, i couldn't kill a person in cold blood.

i could kill a person though, i pity the bastard that ever tries to break into my house if i'm home. not sure if they'd be whacked with a nice 130 grain thunderhead broad-head arrow on an easton shaft coming from a 50# Jennings Recurve, or if i'd take that carbon 300 sword to them, or full nelson them and bash their head into the unfinished part of the basement concrete (done it before as security on brick walls, knocks ppl out, pretty sure if you just do it a few more times they die)... hehe, guess depends on the mood. would definately not use a gun, that's instant jail time here even if the robber has a gun. that combo or head and arrow goes right through a deer at 20 yds, so a robber'd be in serious doody. sounds grotesque, but i'm a firm believer in protecting my stuff and those i love with my life, when you figure that most criminals might kill you, might as well get them first.

on a kinda funny joke, i know where all my good vantage points are in my place for a bow shot. :P

not sure if anyone's ever heard of Joe Horn, but he's my most favorite american that doesn't play GW> :P

cold blood? not sure what that means exactly.

Usually the offenses one muct commit before i contemplate murder have already left them ball-less and incapable of repeating the acts.

could i kill someone with reason? YES
could i kill someone i knew nothing of? no

however for most death is the easy way out, i prefer to make their lives miserable to the extent they take their own life. Complaints to their place of work to get them fired, slashing their tires, speaking with any friends of the opposite sex they have and telling of the atrocities they have committed. Interception of checks credit cards and any non junk mail. Breaking into their apartment and putting them to sleep with ether then giving them a nice tattoo as a constant reminder of what they did.

Why would you kill anyone without the understanding of why? To kill someone without having any reason takes no thought. The idea of not thinking when it happens causes the thin line.

and your friend would kill someone for a reason, beingthis topic exactly. Someone says hey wouldn't kill someone "just cause"...however, he is killing someone because of a simple comment. That comment is what brings him below the middle line...
