If you're looking for an active and fun BF2 clan, 1st Mercenaries is probably your best shot. Over an year old, 1st Merc has a pretty good roster many of whom are great in the game. We have our own site at http://www.1stmercenaries.com/ where you can read the latest news concerning our unit. We also have a great server at 8.9.11.184:16568. As a dedicated clan, we participate in many TWL (TeamWarfare League) matches, at least once a week. Also, you can talk to our members on our TeamSpeak server: 8.2.0.158:8823.
1st Mercenaries offers pretty much everything you need in a clan. If you aren't in a clan yet and you believe you have something to offer, check us out. You can Xfire me (majik92), our colonel (mike9182) or our captain (cptkiero). You can also apply for recruitment in the Application board of our forum.
Finally, keep in mind that there really isn't any limitation for recruitment as long as you aren't too young (flexible rule though), you have a legit copy of BF2, and you don't hack or cheat. We do recommend you to have a working microphone and participate at least somewhat.
