| How was your Alliance Battle Weekend? |

Just making a nice topic, cause im curious who had spend his or hers precious hours at the AB Arena's.
Im quite glad really, im just 20K away from Rank 2 Luxons (might not seem much to some, but for me i figured i'd never reach Rank 1!)
I unlocked over 50 PvP skills and some random items aswell.
And best of all, just had some really nice moments, especially with a guild team that ran the same exact build on each assassin, that was great, lots of kills and running ele's, nothing better then seeing people run away in fear...
And bleeding to Death!
So, was your weekend any fun?

my weekend sucked. i did absolutely no AB. however, i did manage to get the bonuses for every ascalon mission in HM, but still failed to complete 3 of the missions. Rurik FTL

if i tried i probly couldve gotten r9 lux but i didnt feel like ABing :/ But I did get KoaBD by getting SS/LB(after 8 months of putting it off).
quit gw for good. end of story.

My guild ran tripple sins in AB, won most of our matches. lol and @ Its that Emo child, I always thought your name was I hate my child or its hate my child lol.

I was unaware there was an alliance battle weekend because I haven't played in several weeks. But I did have a great weekend despite that, just not in guildwars. Glad you guys had fun.

Gratz to you azn. I got from rank 1 to 4, and spent most of my matches playing with my guildies so it was especially easy. Not to mention even losing in ancestral lands net me about a 1000pts per match, and winning was 5k or greater. Now I am pooped out!

Double faction AB weekend is more for luxon than kurzick. If you're on kurzick side you can't win unless you're playing with guildies. My guild group lost 10 games straight and we were the only group that can kill/cap. When I look at the U map the only blue flag is where we were standing. Its like we've been chase by red dot. Well I'm sure you all know that Kurzick sucks, I'm not talking about guild group pick 2 random groups of Kurzick and Luxon I got my money on the lux.

In all fareness betrayal even my all guild team lost a few matches to some very talented kurzick teams. I also thought it was strange that whenever we lost we still moved the boundary towards the kurzick side, maybe b/c there are so many luxons participating. And even so I was overall impressed with all the sportsmanship I saw this weekend, very few "suxon" comments and I did my part to cuff up my allies with the foul mouths. Thanks for participating on your side!

it was great, however i didn't played all weekend, i managed to get into ab on sunday. it was great, especially b/c i took my old dusty main character elementalist out for this, so we managed to get a 4 ele rodgorts invocation team. they never stood a chance >:D
however T_T, the waiting times were very long. hated it, very frustrating.
BUT another good thing, we did get more teamspirit in the alliance i noticed. We did a fun old school trip to Sorrows Furnace (only core and proph skills), most people were online b/c of the special weekend and on sunday night (at least for me) someone said like: k, who's up for FoW, just the alliance :D
in 1 word: the (1) weekend (2) was (3) great(4) :D (is that considered a word?) okay okay, so not 1 word, but it's true what i said ^^

Hahah wel I only needed one win for r3 Kurzick, but after
waiting an hour while looking at the excuse "No opposing party
has joined" I got kinda bored and did fun stuff
(doing all quests in SF ^^).
So if they plan on doing this again.. please increase the
server capability.. please!

WOW! It was heaps awesome! I got like 2k faction for loosing O.o but the downside I was in my mates guild and Luxons kept loosing :C Bad timing, also the map never changed when I played in there, always The Ancestral Lands or w/e the crappy one where they have the fort

Hmm yeh the factions were great but...the waiting times...
about 2 battles in 2 hours ...that really really sucked >_>

My weekend was fun, almost made r3 Kurz. I went fast casting nuker with my mes and teamed up with a random splinter barraging ranger.
We waited longer to start than it took to win a match.

I did make a funny discovery, American Kurzicks are awful teamplayers, seriously, i played the last few hours in American Districts and we just kept winning cause most Kurzicks would just simply stick the the shrine infront of their base, lovely.
European Districts usually resulted in either a giant Luxon mob unable to even beat 6 kurzicks or groups of 2 running around franticly trying to kill monks.
Ah well, im just 15K removed from Rank 2 now hurray

I made about 150K kurzick faction to get me to 636K total I only played on Sunday and I can't imagine I will ever get 10 mil faction. Anyway I won all the matches I played in but one, guess I was lucky. As for the kurzick and luxon thing I think the luxons owned the morning (sunday) and pushed the kurzicks back to their last zone then the kurzickz made a push to the luxons so as always it is a back and forth thing.
One thing I can't understand is how teams lose whem they are in their own factions last zone. It is so stacked against the opposing team it is absurd.
One thing I have learned is that the Mob fails, all you have to do is cap around them and they can't keep pace. even a 4 man team at the monk shrine can hold them long enough to allow the other two 4 man teams to cap almost all the shrines behind them.
Rant here - Tanks are useless in AB dont bring them and don't fight them.

Very true, as an Assassin player they frequently target me cause they think they can resist an Assassins damage, and generally regard A profession as inferior.
How wrong they are, i killed all warriors facing me, even the big ''tankers'' cause they simply attack too slow without any big damage spikes and with every hit i make, i heal (plus i block 70% of the incoming attacks) so yeah, the battle is won before he even decides to attack me :)

Mine was well....Horrible. PC's in the shop cuz it had a Trojan in it. This Laptop with the worst windows program ever invented (Vista) lags so bad i couldnt even activate skills in AB. So i just farmed all weekend :s

my weekend was awesome i become luxon rank7 after 2 donations and i almost made it too r8 mainly cuze i kept winning and winning in ancestral lands and even in grenz we won alot mainly cuze the kurzs mobbed and THIS TIME the luxons where smart enough to dodge it and cap.

went from r1 to r5, basically this weekend if i wasnt in a HB tourney or GvGing i was in AB, got maybe 40-50 keys total, got some nice stuff but nothing extraordinarily special glad to have my r5, my kurz skills do something now :)

mine was horrible i had 2 AB matches then my connection started to go all wierd so i couldnt play all day saturday and on sunday i had one match and i had to go for a christianing so.... it was the worst weekend ever for the AB weekend in my shoes

It was an interesting weekend I must say. It was my 3 boys vs my step daughter and her friend that was spending the weekend. By early Saturday afternoon the boys had driven the girls into her room to play. But the girls soon made a comeback by recruiting my 4 year old to join them. By Saturday night my older 2 were hiding in their room playing Playstation and the girls and the 4 year old had run of the house.
By Sunday morning it was back to war as usual. The girls brought out the karoke machine, which made the boys go outside and play football. After a little while they decided to take the fight outside to the boys. The plan did not go accordingly. My 13 year old plunked the 10 year old with the football, knocking her into a freezing cold puddle from the melting snow. End result, she woke up with a 103 temperature this morning.
Final score Boys 73 Girls 61
Oh wait, you guys meant the AB in the game. LOL!!! Oops my mistake. : )

My AB weekend was great!! Just kidding, I'm on a break from GW right now. I have accomplished all I wanted to and do not see the point of wasting time to title grind when GW2 is coming around the corner. :)

I did tons of battles and only lost twice. However i was very unhappy with the server space.... there obviously wasnt enough because waiting for like 20 mins to get in is annoying.
Anyways i got a ton of kurz faction to my title and plently amber to get my rit some kurzick armor.
Can't wait for the next double faction weekend!
