hey guys, ok i have a problem with directions to take my characters.
first i have my pally, which is Prot
2nd there is my druid which is Resto
i am now making a priest...so here is my problem
Which way should i go with this so that they are all useful...i was thinking staying prot with my pally, changing my druid to Balance and having my priest heal.
OR
Prot pally, Resto Druid and shadow priest.
what do you guys think about that?
throw in an opinion on Prot Pally's, Resto Druids and Shadow and holy priests if you can. Thanks guys!

i think a shadow priest is a good way to go, a shadow priest can do good damage, and if needed can still do some healing. but it is up to you, you have three toons and each of them can heal, but your pally would be the best as far as a tank, so i would keep him prot.

No disregard that!!!!
Keep your pally prot, and then for druid/priest you can decide for yourself which one is more fun as dps.

Sorry, been away from the forums for a while. Based on my teaming preferences for 5 mans and raiding......
From an AoE loving player I'll always tell a Prot Pali to stay Prot. They are as awesome as they are rare. You just have to be very good at it though. It's VERY gear dependent. More so than the Protection Warriors that have more damage mitigation attributes in their talent trees.
Keep your Druid Resto. Feral Druids are good but OMG they are so freaking overpopulated on the servers. You could get a lot more work for that character as resto. I Love Boomkins too, but if you wanted to keep balance in your stable, I'm thinking Tank, Healer, DPS so that you always can run no matter what the need is in the team.
The Raids are also stacked heavily AGAINST too much melee. That's one of the biggest problems in our guild right now. Not that our guild doesn't have good melee folks, but you simply cannot have a lot of them in any of the big boss fights consistently.
Shadow Priests....... I'm a Warlock. What do you expect me to say?!?!? I love em! But, on the Guild Leader/Raid Captain point of view the Shadow Priest is an awesome mana battery for those long drawn out boss fights where you need your healers to be able to go long bouts without a break. A well placed SP in the healer or caster group increases the longevity of heals, and increased DPS because Warlocks and Mages do not have to waste time Life Tapping or doing that mana regen thing that Mages do.
Healing on a Priest is also one of the most complicated healers to run period. Way more types of heals to choose from. Whereas Druid and Paladin are much simpler(No ding on Palis, or Druids, but the healing Priests out there will agree with me.). So you have to be a better healer to be a Priest. Since you are working 3 characters at once, better to use the K.I.S.S. rule. Keep it simple.
Now, if you are more of a PvP fan. I'm way off base. As a guild leader in a raiding guild, these are the recomendations I would make to one of my own crew.
Also, if you happen to be in a raiding guild, you might want to see what they need the most since you are conflicted about the descision. If your guild has plenty of Shadow Priests already, it may be better to go Holy and make your Druid a Boomkin. But overall, if you have the choice to keep as many characters in your stable ranged as possible.... keep them ranged.
