I think they should really set a standard on this. Guy in Rata Sum was just sitting in town, reporting everyone who said even one Swear word. Shouldnt that be considered abuse? I know swearing is against the rules but come on....this isnt right if people can sit in town and go report happy.

They also look at all the reporting being like abuse. Now you can only report 25 people in a 24 hour period. And while swearing can be bad, depends on how its said. There are chat filters for a reason.

Well, i do like the option to report leechers in AB (if it does anything), just say ''Leechar'' and within a minute the screen is flooded with ''[insert leech name here] has been reported for leeching.
Lovely.

Still, it isnt right that people can do that. I liked the old way of reporting, where you actually had to put some effort in to report.

anet got there money, why would they care if we were banned? the way i see it is there eventually take the feature away because of overuse, or the whole world will be banned.

Reporting leechers is great I'm all for it...BUT theres a HUGE flaw with this feature.
I have seen people and know people who load into the game but their comp or internet is very slow and they character sits there in the battle while they look at a loading screen, thus getting reported for "leeching" another one is i have seen is this:
John Doe has lost communication with the server.
*2 minutes later*
John Doe has been declared a leecher.
*5 minutes later*
John Doe has Restored Communication With the Server.
John Doe: WTF?
IMO that is a total load of BS. I Have seen this more then once.

I've had that happen to me. :(
Oh and one time I reported a guy for cussing at me in RA but right when i clicked "confirm" it said that I was reported as a leecher. Is that like a coincidence or did I report wrong or something?

When you stopped to report, someone might have thought you was leeching

/agree 100% Im so tired of people "under age" kids getting offended about everything thats "mature talk" and they proceed to say there like 8 or 10 years old... wtf is this?
Learn more about teh interwebz, kiddies.
The game is rated 13 maybe parents should stop and take a look if their kid is well under 13, todays parents for kids under age 13 are absolutely moronic. If your kid can't handle "hell" at 8, 9 or 10 whatever it be, then there scared of their own shadow.
Oh and i didn't believe it at first, when someone told me about how easy the internet is becoming accessible, but with parents givin their young kids laptops and games without caring and open wireless routers almost every nook of the planet, you do the math.

My moms boss bought her 9-year-old daughter a laptop. Why? Because all her little friends got one to. Also, she has a razor phone. This is a 9-year-old girl and she has better tech then I do.

I once got reported while I was standing on a shrine in AB waiting for the bar to fill so it would be capped. I had just finished killing the monk and along comes a group of 3 luxons and all of a sudden I see my character name and that I have been reported for leeching. They of course ran right past me and didn't help cap the shrine.

yeh the report system is pretty *kittent* up
i got reported once when we were defeated in RA and i had to eat so i left...wtf?
imo the only got thing about it is that the bots are gone ...but that's it >_>

It says rated 12+ on my Game Covers, and btw dont get angry at kids, its also adults/teenagers that cause problems, and
I'm sure a-net will ban them if they report for a wrong reason, and I'm pretty sure most know what they're doin or are just trying to be annoying or to get banned.

Well, that day i saw that guy going report crazy. I told him 'Uh oh, Im about to go farm! You know how much Anet hates that! Better go report me!' he said he was gonna yet im still alive and kickin raptor butt. and he hasnt been online xD i think he got hit with Abuse

For the simple fact that company's like to anounce how many players they have. Around every big gap Blizard and Arena Net has anounced how many players have bought the game and also the amount of banned players.
On-topic: I've yet to report a player, I liked the system back in the day when you needed to report someone WITH proof (f.e.: Screenshots, ...).
Although /report has a more immediate effect, I don't think it's as good as the other system:
you can easily get more Errors/Abuse with the 2th then with the 1th.

actually they havent i still get loads of bots whisping me.
but on topic,
i have never reported anyone but i still think its been buggered up with everyone reporting someone for leeching when they have a slow connection
