I recently just started playing my lvl 50 elec/elec blaster again and it's been kind of difficult to get back into it again since I've been playing my brute for awhile. I respec'd my blaster in order to pick up force mastery and aid self. I thought that the extra defense and heals would help, but soloing is still a challenge. So in summation, I was wondering if anyone could give me some build advice or post a good soloing build for an elec/elec blaster. Thanks in advance. peace

You may want to check out Thundars Guide to Electric/Electric Blasters. He gives a basic overview of the set,his opinion of the powers, and suggestions on how to slot them. It is an older guide, but the information is still reliable. Check it out and let us know if you need something else. I know Electro also has a Electric/Electric experience as well.

Since you asked for me by name, lol. =D
Give me your current build, and I can make changes from there, as well as give you advice as to good combinations of powers that could possibly help you solo better. Without knowing what you have, I can't possibly give you advice that would be helpful.

Shifting from HTH to range AT needs a adjustment of style more than anything I find, you have to remember to run and keep a better watch on your health. A hour or two of getting bounced and you'll pick it up again.

Solo blaster survivability is not too hard to achieve, especially with the electrical powersets. I definitely recommend reading Thundarpants' quide that Phase referenced. Here are a few tidbits off the top of my head:
1) Difficulty level. Elec is more single-target based than some of the other blaster sets, so you may want to run on a level that limits spawn size: Heroic, Rugged, or Invinc.
2) Contain the Boss. One of the best powers in the electrical set is Tesla Cage. Once you get into Epic Powersets, choose one that also has a hold so you can pair it with Tesla to hold bosses. I like Electrical Mastery for concept reasons, but Fire and Munitions both have holds, too.
3) Snipe. I like to lead off the fight with a BU + Snipe. That will take down an orange minion and give you one less thing to worry about.
4) Concealment. Sometimes you just want to make your way to the hostage, or the glowie, or whatever. I like the Concealment Pool and usually get it for my blasters. Full invis will get you by most everything except Rikti Drones and Knives of Artemis. Phase Shift is a nice "oh, $@#!" power.
5) Range is your friend. I would choose primarily from your ranged attack options, maybe throwing a couple melee attacks in the mix just in case. I also like Flight as a travel power for this reason. Death from above!

Damn! Y'all are getting some milage out of that dusty old guide of mine!
Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I hung up the cape a while back and I do miss it. Of all the many alts I ran Thundarpants was my favorite character ever. The guide is long and wordy but if you have the time, concept-wise it points you in the right direction.
I solo'd him a lot, but it was tough in the upper 40s. He teamed his way to 50 after about level 42.
Flight will help the solo player. I found it more useful than stealth in PvE encounters. Using it to pull mobs apart that had fliers, and reducing the group size.
Before your Epic power selections, Tesla cage is your bread and butter. Since you are solo, cage a Leut, focus on the boss and throw Ball lightning as much as possible to clear the rabble. But you are 50 now and have Epics to choose from.
Thunder Strike is more effective if you are teaming because it's so slow. Choose the faster melee attacks for those up close and personal encounters that you just can't avoid.
I found that the Electricity Mastery and it's single target hold mixed with Tesla Cage was a great boss locker, but in reality I actually found that I would incapacitate 2 mobs and just try to kill the boss fast.
I kept a lot of Break Frees handy in the old days. The mez protection was always weak in this set. But with those nifty new invention enhancements you may be able to improve upon that a bit. It was more of knowing which mobs would mezz you and get them caged first. (Damn Sappers..... we still hate Sappers...right?!)
Keep arresting those Villains!
Thundar out!

Don't hate Raza because she's beautiful......
Because she's not......
