RE: easy exp

Depending on your build and level some enemies are easier than others. But I think that Council and Freakshow are the biggest pushovers no matter what your build is. I also love taking on Nemesis since they love to stand conveniently together.

Council and Freaks yield pretty good exp/hour. But really it depends on what you're using. Some builds work faster than others for certain mob types. Like Fire will take down zombies quite fast, for instance.

RE: easy exp

The general principle is that enemies that only punch you, kick you, hit you with large mallet or shoot bullets at you will not take a lot out of you. Early on this includes Hellions (unless there's a Damned in the group), Skulls (unless there's a Bone Daddy), Council and Trolls. Freakshow are easy marks in the middle levels. I've found Sky Raiders to be easy to take down if I can hit the Engineer right away and prevent him from calling the forcefield generator.

It also depends on your hero's abilities and weaknesses and the abilities and weaknesses of your foes. My stone tanker is virtually immune to sleep so long as she's rooted, so she finds enemies that rely on hypnosis like Tsoo and upper level Outcasts to be quite easy. Vahzilok have been a real challenge, though, as their corrosive attacks take a lot out of her. Psionics that don't rely on sleep such as all of Arachnos' psis are also a challenge.

I'm an incurable altoholic, but most recently I've played as these characters:

Abana (hero, Champion), lvl 44 mag tanker, stone/stone/fit
Etain Echraide (hero, Virtue), lvl 21 mag controller, plant/therm
One Man Vs. The Mob (hero, Virtue), lvl 11 sci blaster, nrg/nrg/fly/stealth
Ballplayer Reverend (hero, Champion), lvl 19 nat tanker, will/mace/speed

Yeah, as was already said, its very build dependant but council and freaks are your bread and butter. Specifically coucil. They are mostly smash/lethal so invulnerable or other resist based sets should have little problem here, and they aren't particularily resistent to any type of damage.

Surprisingly, I find DE pretty easy with my fire based characters, fire seems to do additional damage to them but mez protection is paramount.

If you are rolling a willpower character, carnies will actually be quite easy as well (except for those dang phase shifting illusionists, why don't we get the ability to attack while shifted? Whats up with that?) as you have both hi defense and resist to psi, which isn't particularily damaging, just not very well resisted.

The other that you can look forward to at 50, if you can get the mission, is family. That is a cakewalk as all they tend to use are their tommy guns and the tough power pool. Pushovers to the extreme, except for their bosses, who still are a far cry from being tough.

BEST TEST ANSWERS EVER!
"Who was responsible for inventing the cotton gin?"
"I'm unable to divulge that information as it may compromise our agents in the field."

"What was the date of Columbus' journey to the americas?"
"I do not believe in linear time, the past and future are one, existence in the temporal sense is illusionary... this question is therefore meaningless and impossible to answer."

The other fun part about the Freakshow is that many times they Rez themselves and you can "arrest" them a second time for double the XP.

I like when they get back up...

Yep, Freaks should be your bread and butter for exp. The next best should be Council, then Family, though their bosses can be a bit of a hastle. Zombies are good if yer fire. Carnies, and most anything psi, since they are usually kinda weak, ar good for Willpower.

But yeah, Freaks. They have a base 1.2 exp multiplier and rezzers. great for getting tons of lvls. Radio mishes are kinda infrequent to rely on for them, but they are noticable in many main arcs and in most zones.

Edit: shoulda though of these.

If your an Ice tank, CoT are fairly easy, with the def combo being able to negate most of the issue, and permafrost making demons pushovers. Stone does rather well also.

There is very little in the way of options to counter DE. Ice ans Stone (outside of granite surprisingly) have high def debuf res values, and so long as you get those quartz eminators and deal with the swarm fast, its not that bad. But not really something to rely on, but with a good team, even DE is no issue.

Big Chill is a conscranker: he conrols a mob so they do nothing, scraps a target till they can't stand, and tanks what's left till the job's done.

Dive in, have fun, and think about it later.

RE: easy exp

Avoid CoT? I used to, but the arcane salvage they drop makes it well worth seeking them out. Bring yellows if you don't have to hit buff powers, cause their -ACC powers blow.

Every villian group has pushovers, as well as toughs, that require different strategies depending on level and build. There really aren't any that are consistantly hard in the lower levels. I say Knives of Artemis and Malta are tough no matter what, but I say that from a squishy perspective, since that is mostly what I play. You won't see them until the high levels, unless you SK a lot. High level Arachnos can be a handful if you aren't careful, too. Lots of -end and mezzing powers going on.
