| Having trouble loading a forum avatar |

I am trying to load an avatar. It's only 80x80, so it's plenty small enough. I am using photobucket to store my pics. I can put an avatar from there on the CoH official boards, so I know the pic is good. It's a gif. Is photobucket not compatable with this forum?
I put the URL that photobucket generates for me into the avatar box here, but when I go to update, I cannont click on the button. I don't get the pointer when I'm mousing over the button.
Help me! I don't want to be "Anonymous Greyed-Out Man" anymore.

Your GameAmp avatar is actually loaded by GameAmp itself. You should save your gif file just on your local harddisk. The only requirement is that it is below 20k, I believe.

Yup, save your file to disk (Desktop will do),
go to Account Images in your profile and hit the Browse button. You'll be presented with the famous Windows FileOpen Dialogue Select the file you want and hit 'Open'.
Only then hit the button labeled "Update Images" at the bottom.

Well, as you can see, your help worked. For some reason I was under the impression that you had to upload a pic on a third party site first. I had an old avatar, that was hosted on a friends site, and erased the link trying to change it.
Now I know....and knowing is half the battle :)

One thing to remember with avatars, its not really the dimensions more but the size of it. Most of the time people have trouble loading the image because its too many KB's over 22. I believe the total image can be no greater than 22kb. Resizing it or saving it (depending on program using) in different format will help.
But yeah EVIL MONKEY!
