Custom Guild/Alliance Event Idea's 

Righto, im a bit clueless what to post, but people are more or less requesting a happier time, but considering Guild Wars isn't that renewing (nor i know to post something thats not general knowledge by now)

I'l ask about, Drumroll please.



CUSTOM guild events.

Lots of you have nice guilds, and some of you have heard if not organized funny events, they dont have to be extremely simple in nature, or truly challenging.

I know a few:

1 Vs 1 Tournaments, simplest of all, usually featuring no rule but the one with the best counter skills.

DodgeBall, aka ele's with lightning bolt which they can Dodge.

Reverse Droknar runs have i heard off, sounds funny, means the first who arrives at Beacons Perch wins.

Screenshot/Scenery hunting, i heard of that, someone makes a picture and the rest has to find it.

Hide & Seek, kinda simple to me actually, as you just type the persons name in the outpost you come past, still funny though.

Lotteries, using the /roll command people can bet on a number and earn cash.


Just post your suggestions or actual events you know off here, also just post random idea's you have, No Flaming, if someone posts an idea thats flawed, help them correct it and criticize in a friendly manner.
We might come up with some untested events which can prove very entertaining (like Dodgeball)

- Guild Parties in temple of balth - everyone's invited, free booze..
- Depending on a few things, either 4v4 scrimmage competition between the guilds in an alliance, or just teams of four take each other.. always a good laugh to see who has the best build etc..
- Guild/alliance trips to urgoz/the deep/UW/FoW etc..
- 1v1 tournaments are good.. but 2v2 tournaments are better, more skill involved..

Loads of things rly..

Outpost hide and seek
Timed runs through tough areas (HM & NM)
Scavenger hunts
Timed kill counts

Just a couple off the top of my head that I've either heard of or thought up.

In [FoX] we have a weekly run in a high end PvE area on Saturday nights, usually clearing FoW or UW, though I've heard DoA and Slaver's Exile are also on the list. Having a regular time for such events is important, I think, so that everyone knows there is an opportunity to participate.

As for non-default ideas, way back when I was in AMP I occasionally held races. People would put on their best running build, and they would run from one end of a PvE area to another, and win prizes in the order in which they placed. This was partly a fun guild activity, but also a way to clear out my green inventory, as I was too lazy to bother spamming WTS in LA.

Here is one I thoughed of just now. (don't flame if it's been used before 'kay?!)

Someone say's a Movie Quote (please leave all the 'Sparta's) and someone else has to come with the Movie it's from.

Like for example,
'We gotta make like a tree and get the f*ck outta here!'

an old guild leader of mine who was pretty damn rich did hide n seek. I got him twice and got some good stuff. Once I got 15 ectos and the next time I got a destroyer spear

Problem and Answer

One person can say a (global) problem (f.e.: Over population China).
Another has to find the answer for it (f.e.: China vs Nuclair Weapons of Iran). The more outrageous the answer is the better =] (not too SF stuff though).

Our guild had a wintersday party and some of the ideas we came up with have already been mentioned (hide and seek, movie trivia, 1v1 ,4v4) The only variation that we came up with that was different was we did drunken running with booze supplied and more booze for winners.

hmm i like the dodgeball idea, although it'd be better if they made it an actual event(like scrimage in the guild battle option) and there were no npc's...alot like the dragon arena with lightning orb and 7 res then first to run out of res looses

ehm dunno how to call it but I'll explain.

Many people need to be involved in setting up tho,

You all start in your guild hall. as a start you get a hint, the hint refers to a town/outpost. in that outpost is someone else of the guild with the next hint,that hint also refers to an outpost. etc etc

follow all hints in right order to get to then end. the people in the towns will mark names they have seen so you can't randomly enter towns to win.

My first guild used to do this, 20 ectos for first price or so. entire guild donated some..

its fun
