| Electric Armor - Knockback ? |

First off: Excellent site with great info on cov. I am a first time poster on this site and I have learned alot during my time in cov because of play time and people from this site that have shared their knowledge of the game.
So my ? is: with electric armor you can get grounded that resists knockback and knockdown. Has anyone running an electric armor brute found the need for acrobatics from the leaping pool set. I ask this because I am lvl 39 and have only 3 power picks left and don't want to waste it on a power that is possibly not needed. I have not had any major problems with knockback or down, but still alot left of this game to explore. Thanks

If you're only concerned with PvE then grounded will be more than enough protection for you.

To answer your question Madphinger is right about the PVE. If you decide to PvP then you may want to look into some of the Set Enhancement Bonuses that can grant you KB resistance.

Grounded will do the job for you in PvE, as long as you stay on the ground. On a side note, since Grounded also gives Immob resistance, it's very fun to jump up and down when you have an Immob on you. Up, Immobilized, down, not immobed, up, down, up, down. Very funny =D
If you ever plan on PvPing with your /elec brute, then you will need to pick up Acrobatics. The KB resist IOs do not offer enough KB protection to counter Player strength KBs. If you stacked a bunch of them up, they may keep you safe from some of the weaker KB effects, but only Acro will protect you from things like Force Bolt and other Knockback powers from sets like Force Fields, or powers like Power Thrust for /em blasters.
BTW, you mention that you are level 39 and only have 3 power choices left. This is incorrect. You have a power choice at each level of 41, 44, 47, and 49, leaving you 4 power choices left for that character.

Thx, now that I realize that I have 4 power choices left, I will take acrobatics for pvp. Haven't played very much pvp, but have had fun when I have played it.

Welcome...er wait I am evil now Unwelcome to the site and glad the you are now a member instead of lurking...this is a great place to chat about the game and learn about everything the game involves (which you have seen) But also you can chat with any amper in game via the gameamp.com chat channel..the best way for in game help
Cant wait to see more post and submissions and to chat with you ingame.
