| How to make certain classes camp you. |

This only applies to low ranked guilds/bad players.
Anyway, I've been playing ranger in my guilds GvG's alot lately. And today we were on a bit of a roll, so I basically shut down everything important, and then our mesmer lagged too much to interrupt anything. So anyway, I started dshotting stuff that is usually the mesmers job. IE: Bsurge. Then in later matches I was splitting alot for kicks, and I dshotted other stuff on the split. So anyway, if you're a ranger, here is a list of things that you have to interupt in a row for the class to camp you for the rest of the match:
Lesson 1: To get a ranger to camp you.
Apply Poison. I dshotted this today (on a guy with the most amazing name I've ever seen too), and he camped me for the rest of the entire match. Unfortunately he was bad and couldn't kill me solo because I went on to dshot burning arrow on the next recharge of dshot. So he didn't do damage, and I kept the flagger and ranger occupied and got us morale boosts. Unfortunately, there's nothing more aggrivating to a ranger than having your elite and apply shut down. You can't do anything but interrupt, and this guy apparently couldn't do that. So he basically camped me for the rest of the game and kept trying to dshot my natural stride.
Lesson 2: To get an Elementalist to camp you.
First off, this is just bad. Rangers have 100 AL vs elemental, and even with all that explodeyness that lightning orb does now, you can just mend touch yourself and troll and never die. Anyway, I got on this Bsurge/spike assist ele with lightning orb, ancestors and splinter weapon. I started off by dshotting bsurge after I realized that our mesmer was lagging, then immediatly savaged his splinter, savaged everything else he cast until splinter came back up and then dshotted that. I dshotted bsurge the next time it came up, and then switched targets to a mesmer to try to get his shame. Anyway, I got the shame (mesmer is lesson 3), but next thing I know I'm getting hit by every skill on the ele's bar. He even ran up next to me and used ancestors. So basically on an ele, just dshot and savage everything he does for about 45 seconds and he'll be camping you. Anyway, later at the stand the ele spammed bsurge on recharge on me, every time I mend touched myself another bsurge would hit before I had time to get a dshot off. He didn't do anything useful though, like actually stop our warriors spikes from going through.
Lesson 3: To get a mesmer to camp you.
This is basically the same line as the ele's. Interupt everything they do for a solid 40 seconds and then auto attack them while tabbing through other players. Today I got a guys diversion dshotted, and then savaged his ward. Then I dshotted shame a few seconds later and interrupted esurge. After that, I'd get hit by random esurges and diversions (he got my cripshot, which was ridiculously annoying). Mesmers should really only divert a cripshot when they're retreating, so anyway he was not retreating and instead made me angry, but didn't get anything game breaking at that poing.
Lesson 4: To get dervspike to try to spike you alot.
Toss savages and dshots on the dervs while they're spiking. You can get something about 80% of the time and it makes them really mad. Then they start trying to spike you, so you just save your natty stride and kite the spike.
Anyway, this isn't meant to say I'm awesome for dshotting all of that. But it is something for people newer to GvG to look at and go "Am I camping this guy and benefiting the team?" Better yet, ask "Am I benefiting the team by camping this guy?" The answer is almost always "no." Especially if it's a ranger. You're never going to kill a ranger at the stand while the monks are up, and by camping him you're going to get your stuff destroyed. Because bsurging a ranger might seem decent, but he mend touches himself so fast and then forces a dshot on the next surge that comes. Or if you're tossing negligible damage from orbs and surges on, you're really not pressuring because it's not synchronized with the rest of the team and will just get mopped up with party heals. Also, dshotting a cripshot or a apply poison can relieve alot of pressure, but at the stand it's not actually going to do that much for you. The whole point of a ranger is that about 50% of the bar can be shutdown, and it can still be effective in some sort of way.
Anyway, overall people need to think about how they will benefit the team in their play. One of the bigger mistakes (and one I tend to make) is looking at the small picture and going "I'm totally owning this guy, I'm awesome." When in reality, because you're not doing the job the team needs, the team is exploding. But you're still OWNING that guy. I do that in RA alot.
So people please, think of how your action will help the team. And then put your efforts to where they will be effective.

I get issues with .2 second lag quite often I basically put it down to my wifi. I spent 40 (about 80 dollars) a month on an isp with the lowest contention ratio in the uk (for a non buisness user). Interupting I get infuriated allot on this as I wish I could do it better but I end up looking silly when I try lol.
Lesson 1: To get a ranger to camp you.

Lol did he try to dshot your dshot too?
Lesson 2: To get an Elementalist to camp you.
So basically on an ele, just dshot and savage everything he does for about 45 seconds and he'll be camping you. Anyway, later at the stand the ele spammed bsurge on recharge on me, every time I mend touched myself another bsurge would hit before I had time to get a dshot off. GG. Q: Does Mantra of Concentration do anything against bow interrupts? I'm guessing if you pack savage shot it wouldnt be a problem if they did.
Lesson 3: To get a mesmer to camp you.

mesmers fast casting, they are tricky to interrupt at the best of times getting you angry should be a mesmers job but I think he got you got angry for the wrong reasons.

True I have had a few anti ranger bars only benefit I have ever seen is keeping them off the monks. If I cant hurt the other opponents. I played a bit of ranger in ra (not the same as gvg) and I found that having the ele camp me is the best I can hope for. Its important to call targets and not many would call a ranger

yeah dualing sucks and if you let one person draw you in it kills team play It happens in ab kid yourself its all about a shrine and a mob rolls right over you.

good guide rogue + cred
