Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Who else bought Super Smash Bros. Brawl today?

You definitely should, it's one of the best games I've played in a long time...

Two major drawing points: Online Play, and a massive new adventure mode(complete with an actual story line) plus you can play with: the Wii remote (nunchuck optional) Gamecube controller, or the Wii classic remote...

I love this game ^_^

One drawback is that you need a Wii. A few months ago I actually wanted to buy one, but I couldn't find them anywhere. It seems the are now in stock in several stores lately, but somehow I lost my interest. I think I'll save the money and buy myself a new PC over a few months.

I bought it, and me and some friends did Sub Space ALLL day, and now I am pretty sure I just needto unlock Ganandorf, Sonic, Wolf, and Jigglypuff =D

Im going to have to Gamefly that, Is it basically a fighting game? I knew there were past Smash Bro games but never played them either....and Ron Wii bowl is best bowling. No need to rub elbows with gutterballs. Now I can bowl naked, its like my dreams have come true.

The only drawback I found in the Wii is being so frickin tired. I know they emphasize exercise, which I hardly need any but can we get a Wii Sit or a Wii Rest game. Basically you sit and place the control on your lap...the longer you do this the more points you rack up. It can have online play but the competition is tough.

i really wanted a wii for my birthday, but we couldn't find them anywhere, and im sort of starting to think that i might not need one. should i keep looking for a wii or is it not really worth the $250?

I bought a Wii last month instead of new pickups for my guitar. I'd really be regretting my purchase had it not been for the Wii's virtual console service. It's great to play the games I grew up with again and it helped delay my realization that after Zelda, Metroid, Mario and SSMBB, the rest of the Wii's game library is a cavalcade of mediocrity.

I picked up Brawl earlier today. It was the last copy in the store and the woman in front of me was going to buy it for her kids. So thinking quickly, I told the lady that a meter maid was writing her up a ticket. Heh... She put the game down and ran outside. I scooped up the game and bought it. Not my fault she didn't follow the first two rules of shopping for newly released games.

1) The moment you put the game down, it's fair game for anyone.
2) If you MUST put the game down, ask an employee to hold it.

I don't write the rules I just follow them. Besides it was either get the game or my girlfriend was going to do horrible things to me... Like make me watch The View...

Anyway I've been playing the game all day. I really just can't wait to unlock Starwolf. He's probably just a clone of Fox but who cares.

Were gonna buy it tomorrow. How awesome are the graphics? My brother told me that half the wiis have to be upgraded before they can play it, is that true??

Anyways, yeah I can't wait to play its gonna be so awesome!!!

There is a Wii update that comes on the disk for people without internet connected systems. Kinda like what the PSP does. Put framework patches on hot titles so even offliners can get it.
Graphically speaking, It's just a tiny bit better than Melee on the GC.

Further cementing Addy theory number 24: The Wii could have just been an add-on for the GC but due to the looming threat of the 360 and PS3 Nintendo decided to axe it and make it it's own system.

The best thing about Brawl is that it's best played with the GC controller. That's right, It denigrates the very system it's designed to sell and that's so delectably tragic!

The graphics are amazing. Pure sweet and simple. Unfortunatly people gave its rating and 8.5 for graphics, when it more clearly deserved something higher.

The update is just a few seconds of a loading bar, nothing much. There is a 20 second load time the first time you play it, but that goes away after you make a save file.

If you've never played Smash Bros. I suggest getting a Gamecube cheap or finding someone who has it and playing. It's actually a lot of fun and takes some work to get good at it.

Ron, try Tiger Woods Golf 08 for Wii. It's a lot of fun too if you like bowling. A bar stool would be a key pickup. The biggest problem with the Wii sports is you need to be standing. A bar stool would solve this!

I got it the day it came out. I'm not a fan of the way the jumping works, but it's an amazing game. It makes getting a wii worth it, much like what Dead Rising did for the X-Box 360

The new adventure mode on the new one is awesome. It's a plot-driven story-line that makes you go "oh crap" and "man, that sucks" when things happen with the characters. It displays great personality through the pantomime of cut-scenes (no talking) and the graphics are awesome.

I play SSBB when my fiance is on my computer playing CoX. However, I'm not the Nintendo Fan-Boy that so many others are, so some of the characters I've never seen before, and just confuse me (first time I got the backpack on Mario, I was like, "What the hell is that thing!?" then I recognized it from Mario Sunshine. ^.^ )

The game looks full of epic win, and the events are quite interesting.

Yar thats like not even a high point in the game. SSBB is built for multi-player pwnage.

Dark Arsenal and I stood in line for it and it was so worth it. We both beat it after a day lol. It has so much to do after you beat the story mode. Stickers, Stages, a wall collection to complete, trophies and what not. It deff made me dust off my wii since nothing good has came out for it for a bit.

OOOOh yeah and Mario Kart Wii is coming out the end of next month! Woot! Online racing!

Yeah it looks awesome, it comes with a steering wheel, that you put your wiimote in and steer. They are going back to the old school driving too, not double dash or anything lol.
