| Lag, bugs, and nerfs...Oh my! |

Has anyone else been experiencing really bad lag over the past week or two? I've been getting horrible lag as of late and at first I thought it was my ISP or even my wireless router. I checked both out and they are perfectly fine. I even got online with some of my other games and I have no lag at all on them. So what the heck is up? I've been asking around alot and it seems like a big chunk of the people I've talked too have been having the same problems. Almost my entire guild is having problems with the lag. And there are people in it who very, very, very RARELY lag and over the past week it's been so bad for them that they, along with me, have just had to log off of GW because we can't do anything. If you are lucky enough to not be experiencing this horrible lag, then please share your luck :P.
I've also noticed on Wiki and in-game that there are some major bugs occcuring. Like for example, some of the DoA bosses are not spawning (which can be extremely frustrating considering the time you put into a zone and the consumables that you use).
And the third thing....what was up with that last update? Nerfed alot of stuff into oblivion (except necros, they actually got buffed). Like Watch Yourself...why oh why did they nerf that? It really wasn't overused or overpowered to the point where it caused problems. Now it's pretty much useless (wears off in 2-3 attacks). Alot of those changes didn't make sense to me.
So to sum up this rant, I think Anet has been doing a poor job lately of delivering us a good quality upkeep of this game. I guess they're so busy with GW2 that they're pretty much just letting GW fall to the way side. I was gonna work on my titles until GW2 came out but if the situation doesn't improve, then I'll be focusing on other games until GW2 comes out. I feel better now that I got that off my chest :P. Feel free to comment on anything. Cheers ^_^

Yep, ive d/c about 8 times today for no apparent reason, theyre too busy screwing up skills to do Server maintenance.And on top of it all, were getting a lame weekend event.

Yes ive been getting d/c alot.
Today is like the day i got back on diablo 2 lod in 2 years, ive been slowly going back to that, simply because i was getting upset with gw, i can't believe for 2 years ive played gw and it seemed like so much has changed, seemed forever, yet none of my charas in d2 have changed on battle.net. Nothing in d2 has changed and thats what i like.

i thought it was just me getting huge amounts of lag. if im one for a few hours at a time it gets harder to do stuff in heavily populated towns.

I'm not suffering so much from lag, but more from constant and random disconnects. I'll be in the middle of a mission or out in an explorable area, miles from the nearest town and all of a sudden it comes up and tells me I've lost my connection with the server.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that in my first post. I've gotten some random d/c's (and I hardly ever get a d/c). I wonder what Anet is doing. Obviously not server maintenance >_<. All I have to say is that they had better fix the problem quick or I'm going to be staying off of GW for awhile. And if this continues from now until GW2 comes out, I probably won't get GW2. Because if they can't handle 1 game now, I'd hate to see how they'd handle 2 separate games at the same time.

One possibility, and I just thought of this by the way, is that maybe they are updating the servers to accomidate GW2. It is quite possible that the servers hardware is not compatible with the new game and as they upgrade the servers, they are discovering incompatibility issues with the current game. It is quite possible that they are working on these problems as they pop up because I have noticed that the random d/c's I was experiencing have slacked off a little bit. For the first few days it was happening almost every few minutes or so, now I only get d/c's every once in a while.

Agreed. Haven't noticed big problems.
Just to keep the comments on the connection issues going... I've just finished playing for about 3.5 hours (a rarity for me) and didn't have a single problem. I'm up in Canada, for what it's worth.

I don't mind the skill update either. The updates for mind bast and rodgorts is the only ones that effect me, and they actualy don't make such a huge diffrence.
As for lag, I have been having a little more lag than usual, but nothing as bad as your sounds. Only a couple of DC's but have always been able to get back in time^^
