Were about are you from though? Or is the lag gone when you use friend codes? Online with anyone is pretty slow right now
Someone madye want to make a list of everyone eher on amps FC, and names (both smash and amp names)

this is how i got mine:
you connect to the wi-fi feature, go to play with friends, go to your friend roster, and your number should be at the top.

mine is 4639-8625-7980
the name is probably under Chris or Zen!, although it might change.
EDIT: zoaka, if you are hooked up to a household wireless network, make sure you go to the options for it and add the application "Wii", then open ports 1-6345 for it. the protocol should be set to UDP as well. hope that was your problem
