| Tip: Using basic BB-coding on this forum. |
|
|
|
Well I have seen many people struggle with getting their text made up. So I decided to give the most commonly used HTML on this forum. If I left out anything, please let me know =D
NOTE: Although everything on this forum (and many other forums) is done with [ ], real HTML uses < > in stead of those. (using it to build websites)
So let's get started shal we?
| CODE | Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
Clicky

And than you can also start combining:
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
[LINE]
|
Wich will than result in:
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
Clicky
And than you can also start combining:
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
Your text here
So it's pretty basic. You open the text "make-up" with a letter. Than you close it again with the same letter, but that with a / in front of it.
I hope this helped a few of you out there!

Very nice tips.
Should help folks spotting when they didn't finish a tag.
Now if only you'd used the title "Basic BB-Code" rather than HTML which this is not... :-)
Little tip on code spotting: HTML uses < and >, BB-code [ and ].
Those are BB-Code tags that are translated into basic HTML by the site's PHP code.
Ok, enough acronyms for one post I think :-)

Yeah well you can ofcourse always come up with something to whine.
No I didn't copy anything and if you're not color blind you would see at the bottom in red: "For a MORE IN DEPTH.." This is just the most commonly used stuff.
And as I said I didn't knew that guide was out there, so there were only good intentions.

Couldn't you just press the Bold, Italic, Underline etc. buttons above the content area if you didn't already know?
