Well, the long wait is over! It's here! I had no idea the three blue lights where so bright.... Bloody blinding.
Only one problem, I need to by a new DSL modem with ethernet that's compatable with Vista... forgot a bout that bit. It means I'm having to use my old one to use the net :(

That looks great, didn't think Operating Systems meant alot for routers/modems, but i guess its more or less depending on the brand of that, never truly got into Networking stuff really.
Anyways, looks good, in my own opinion i would place the case on the ground, little doubt the cables easily can go behind the desk right? Atleast depends how noisy the fans are, with dust-protection and such it doesn't matter alot wether you place it high in the open or low in a corner. Only if you'd place it in the middle of the room on the ground would you have more chance for it to suck in dust :P

Yeah the BT voyager modems don't work with Vista, at least all the ones I've checked don't. Oh well I'm gonna buy a compatable one tomorrow anyway :)
And about having the case on the floor, it's been moved down there now, on top of one of my massive speakers, I only moved it up top for the photo and to set up the connections ^^ the sound is fantastic, I've got like 6 oldschool speakers all around the room, each one is like 2' high and 1' deep so for films and what not its great. The fans are silent, there only slightly noticible for about the first 5 seconds of booting up.
Anyway glad you like it :) wanted to say another big thank you for your advice =] as soon as I get guildwars running on it we must game together, I'm crap at organising times so sorry we still havn't even atempted the FoW runs we talked about xD

Nice, but it contains the fact i warn about with pre-built systems, they usually squeeze in something awful, in your case the Videocard, if you notice your Computer is going slower, don't be a sheep and discard it and buy a whole new one, no, just get an individual Videocard (you can ask me by the time you want to upgrade as the latest isnt always the greatest)
And you'll eliminate a massive bottleneck, the rest of the system looks great, but it's easy to spot the bottleneck for anyone with a few braincells committed to Computer Stuff :)

Typo, its 800Mhz, you mixed up the 8800GT i reckon. 8800Mhz you'd wish, we'd have Quantum Computers by then running at 1 Terahertz or something.

Nice!
So where do you live? (country, street, housenumber, ...).
And could you possibly give an detailed instruction from the nearest airport to your home. And the quickest way how to get as fast away as possible from it.
Thanks ;]

Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music the add this to your signature.

Skip that one, you have the 8500, this one is just one step above yours, you won't notice much performance increase, i'd say maybe 10%, you should get the newer models, such as the 8800GT or GTS, they feature a new core and architecture, increase for those would be nearing 50-60%, the 9600GT is a mid-range card, even though it carries the ''9'' generation number, its basicly on the same level of the 8600, just less energy consuming.

Well, internet is almost sorted! I bought a new modem and router from Netgear, set me back another £120 as AOL seem to be picky about what works with vista. Internets shall soon be mine!

Rofl oh yeah, it was because the order form I copied and pasted was before I updated it to 800Mhz, so it was still saying 667mhz. I must of mistyped that there xD

Yeah it was annoying especialy since I had to fork out even more xD
No sir, I am simply sharing some information on new gear that I have bought. You see, that's what people do in communities such as this one. Maybe your not quite ready to handle something so complex but must instead resort to acting like a 7 year old jealous of his play mates new toy. I'm not here to show off, just to share something. Deal with it. PS welcome to Gameamp
Sorry about the mass quoting just wanted to cover all the comments xD

This isn't showing off at all, he just wants to share and show his new rig, especially the casing he likes, otherwise he's the only person who basicly sees it, shame.
Besides, i've seen my neighbor act like a 8 year old with a new toy after he bought himself a motorcycle, he drove round and round the street for 3 hours, just keep comments to yourself as you never know when you might get caught and face backfire.[/QUOTE]

Hopefully it doesn't put off much heat that close to the new rig...
That really looks nice jaffar! gratz, it looks nice! I'm just a couple parts away from finishing up my new rig.
Once I get it done I'll post it and then maybe we can have a 3DMark Competition... :P
