Purchasing prestige items

I've been away from the game for a while but have been reading stuff from the official website during my absence. Sometime last year I remember reading that the idea of purchasing prestige items or other special items might be one of the game's future additions.
I am specifically trying to find out if they offer the Jump Jet prestige power from the City of Heroes / City of Villains: Good Versus Evil Edition for seperate purchase to add to your account.
And if so, how?
Just curious.
Any help is appreciated.

RE: Purchasing prestige items

The Jump Pack is packaged wit the Good versus Evil pack, which is the only place I've heard of to acquire said Jump Pack. Last I checked the whole thing cost around $10 (if memory serves me)

Don't forget that the Prestige Power pack comes with a Pocket D Gold Membership card and a cool Pocket D teleport power. This is helpful when you want to zone quickly and do not mind shortcutting through Pocket D. BTW - welcome back!

Definitely the way to leave places like Northern Nerva Archipelago when you need to hop to St Martial to safe Johnny's soul, again. The jump-pack's nice for getting across town until you get some (temp) travel powers but it pales in comparison to the Pocket D time-saver :-)
And bits of the two costume sets are neat too. Never felt like using the whole sets though.

Enath, my PB has a costume slot dedicated to the full set of Justice Armor (gloves, boots, the whole nine yards) done up in red and black. Very, very nice. I'll post a screenie when I get the chance!

Also, the jump pack allows you decent forward flight speed with just hover activated (until it the jump pack runs out of fuel) I activate my lowbie's hover, gain some altitude, press "R", click the jump pack and whoooooosh! Away my character goes! Also, with the jump pack active you can make short hops across a portion of a zone without touching the ground, just press your space bar for a few seconds while moving forward to gain some altitude, releasing the space bar for a few seconds and pressing the space bar again before you touch the ground. Also boosts the hell out of your flight speed (no button pressing needed) and really gives you a SUPER high super leap, just be ready to take some damage if you push that to it's limits. Very handy little booster pack.

RE: Purchasing prestige items

I have one toon wearing mostly the ExoProto (sp?) set with a few bits of Justice (shoulderplates / gloves) and I use the Jump-pack as an extra assessoiry (SP!) for it. Quickly hit it 3 times and it's Off but still showing. It fits the look of the tune as I used the pack's color-scheme. Will try and find a screenie of that too :-)
