What server is everyone playing on?

I guess so, since I didn't see anything about it during the beta. However, all that could change once the game is released. :\

well there are different servers, but you can travel to it.
i think it is the Internation District, according to what i have heard elsewhere. and traveling to other districts is like changing servers.

from what happened in the beta weekend i played in there was no server selectiona and whenever you entered a town you are randomly assinged to a district and can switch them by going to the district menu in the upper left hand corner. All the fighting zones are created for your group alone, every different group will be at a different district/server even thought they may be in exactly the same place.

not sure if that is what i would call servers...were u meaning role playing or the pvp? (maybe thats just for beta)

That makes a little more clear to me then. Since I didn't have the privelage to play beta, I wasn't sure. But knowing that they have insta zones for that group only, would almost no need for seperate servers since you would be in a mini one with your own group. This game sounds like so much fun, and a lot of diffrent things you can do and grow. One question how do people level? Run around and kill things in groups? or solo? haven't found a ton yet. Guess I could find out in a day or so when it comes out.

levling can be done by doing quest and by killing stuff ( maybe more but those only 2 ways to my knowledge). well levling is actually really easy to do, can be grped or solod depending on skill, class, and level of character. ive played in one beta and found it very easy to level comparing to eq.
my ranger at level 3 (with the pet, that died almost instantly) could take about 5 enemys at a time 3 of em were lvl 3 and others were lvl 2. so its not really a frustrating games. from the videos it looks like grping might be necessary at the high levels, but who knows.

non-meele classes are very hard to solo when taking on groups of monsters excluding necromance because necros can create their own groups of minions. this is speaking from a lvl 7 standpoint post beta. if you have healing spells like a monk, you can solo very easily. I have tried all classes but warrior.

as a lvl 9 ranger its somewhat difficult to solo, i can do it if i can get them 1 or 2 at a time, but herds of 5 are rediculus...especially when there are healers and warriors. impossible.

but not at early levels. pretty easy to solo at level 1 when i got a level 5 pet =). was taking out7-9 enemys at a time lol

I dont think there is a class that can solo 6-7 enemy's at a time. Im a lvl 12 ele/ran and i cant kill huge mobs of charr. If a mob of stupid monsters like lvl 3 devourers comes, they will put a real fight to. In the early world id never take henchmen with me. If i dont now ill take the risk of being outnubered by some stupid low lvled monsters.

should have got a screenshot and put it one here. it was in re-searing ascalon. and was a ranger ele main;y used troll unguent, powershot, and the lvl 5 pet to slaughter lvl 2 enemys.

also if u want to get a elementalist secondary you have to fight like 6+ enemys (did it without henchmen) but occasionally the person will use a AoE fire nuke and kill most of the ice elementals. not to mention they are low lvl

I guess that all depends on your level and where you are. My 18 W/N can solo every mob on the map at the same time in Old Ascalon. :P But put me outside of Sanctum Cay where everything is around lvl 20 and things get difficult.

Districts = Servers that you can travel between with a few clicks of the mouse. Very nice.

I've played 4 characters past level 10 each, current highest is level 18. Any class can solo with henchies. No class can effectively run solo, ie, by yerself, no henchies, very well. Game is not designed to travel without a group and I whole heartedly love it. I've notice that no matter my class or class combinations, I always have a set of skills/spells for PvE, grouping and a another set for the Arena's and PvP's.

Me as a elementalist, rely much on the restoration aura enchantment. I cant walk in the snowy lands alone because there are always "shatter enchantment" spells. There seems to always be a enemy around who you just cant fight alone to. Flor instance, the charr have one unit for every class. A charr mind spark represents a mesmer and a fire keeper a fire elementalist. When monsters are lvl 5+ they always seem to outnumber or outclass you.

My mate is lvl 20 and we where just funnieing around killing some stupid monsters with 4 ally henchmen. We forgot the healer but we thinked "easy we can do it withoubt her". We got owned by just 7 dwarves, becouse some stupid dwarve always seem to shatter enchanment.

This game isnt made for fast lvling with monsters. Quests always go much quicker and thats why i always try to do all the quests as soon a possible.
